Great way to spend a few hours walking through themuseum. There are a variety of items throughout the museumthat are of interest to more than the car buffs. You will enjoy saying do you remember this. It's also fun taking younger children and trying to explain to them what the items are and how they were used "Back in the Day.

Old 30's car dealership (the building is a museum in itself) crammed to the rafters with cars, collectibles, cars, theme rooms, cars, etc etc etc. You could easily kill a day there, SO much stuff. Jerry is a local celeb and an ultra-cool car guy if you get a chance to meet him.

They are only open a couple of days a week, so check before you go. The museum itself is in a small building, I think a former garage. They have a nice assortment of old cars. Besides the cars there is a ton of other nostalia. Upstairs, there is a replica of a malt shop, and there are all kinds of things to see. I think that they claim that they have over 20,000 items. I believe it. Younger folks may not appreciate it, but if you are like me, 60 plus, you will love it. Free parking. Nice staff.

More inside than you can imagine. You would be surprised as everywhere you look is something amazing and historical. I enjoyed my brief time there.

Was in Pottsville for the first time in years and stopped at the museum. What a gem. Full of memorabilia from the past including collector cars, car parts, signs, gas pumps, etc...upstairs was FUN...a full soda fountain, malt shop, everything doo wop! Loved it! The only thing though is not too much parking available in lot. If it's crowded you probably would need to park on street.

If you were a child of the 50's or 60's this museum is a blast from the past. Hard to believe that the exhibits represent one man's collection (and well some things from his mother and aunt). Also enjoyed chatting with the staff - who shared more history about the collection and the town. If you go - pay attention to the hours.

We couldn't get into the museum late in the afternoon (early evening) or earlier in the morning on Saturday. We were lucky to have a sneak peek from outside (through the open doors) during the event in town. I liked the cars at the event, wasn't impressed by the museum itself.

If you love oldies (50's-60's) you will LOVE this place. It is awesome the way it is set up with all antiques. Looks like an old malt shop. Upstairs and on the main level. LOTS to look at...I go there every year when I am in Pottsville for the Car Show/Cruise.

A great place to revisit life in the past, particularly if you're a car nut. Lots of pristine, refurbished vehicles and memorabilia (sp?). Only open certain times and days. Best to go in spring or fall since not air conditioned in keeping with the past. Enjoy!

You'll love this little museum which has something for everyone who every lived or wish they lived during the 50's and 60's. We took the advise of a prior reviewer and went on a cool day. Very entertaining and very reasonable. They do give a AAA discount. You'll see everything from cars to kitchen tables, garage tools to kitchen utensils. A real gem! May not be the place for small kids unless you have a hand on them - lots of stuff within easy reach. Don't forget to look up - they have stuff right up to the ceiling on the second floor!

What a wonderful place to visit. It is so neat to see all the memorabilia from cars to soda fountain shops. You can't take it all in there is so much to look at. I was like a little girl in a candy shop. I love old cars and 50's and antiques of all kinds. It was amazing, I will go back to visit. And BEST of all it is VERY reasonable pricing. Would recomend to any car or 50's enthusiast.

A small museum located in downtown Pottsville in an old Studebaker dealership, Jerry's presents an outstanding collection of 50's memorabilia. Starting with an automobile theme, there are about 10 antique cars and trucks preserved, including several Studebakers, a DeSoto convertible and others. In addition there are lots of auto parts and artifacts ondisplay. Also, there are mock-ups of 50's era soda shops, and bandstand items including instruments and amplifiers, as well as older tools, furniture, sewing machines. Also included are displays of older clothing, household appliances, etc. For a very enjoyable trip back in time, this is an excellent way to spend an hour or two. Lots of nostalgia for a few dollars well spent.

My husband and I visited the museum. With our AAA discount, we paid $12.00 for the both of us.Nice collection of garage and auto items from probably the 50's, 60's and maybe 70's. Auto's on display are in fairly good shape, approximately 10 autos. Oodles of old garage items, such as old tire changers, oil cans, pictures, signs, gas pumps, anything garage or auto related. We visited yesterday and the temperature outside was 100 degrees. Sadly to say, the museum is a remodeled old Studebaler dealership with no air conditioning. On the first floor, they had fans running. On the second floor was few fans running, but they were only blowing around the hot air.I would say the temperature upstairs was probably about 110 degrees. Needless to say, we did not get a chance to see everything upstairs. The upstairs had from what I could see from just taking a quick look was a model of a small 50's diner. I suggest going when the temperature is a little cooler. If you like anything auto or garage memorabelia, you would definitely enjoy the museum. I grew up with my grandfather and father in the auto repair business. Also, my husband and I are in the auto repair business as well. The museum brought back alot of memories for me.Would have given it an excellent rating if the building would have had air conditioning. The museum is in Pottsville, with a very small parking lot for maybe 5 cars. Don't visit in your RV, no place to park it.
