Our visit to Manatawny Still Works was great! It was quite interesting to learn about their company and their processes of distilling. I've been on a number of winery tours, so it was a nice change of pace going on a distillery tour. Our hosts were super informative and we learned a lot about their operations. The staff were so welcoming and helpful and their spirits are really nice! We got to sample and learn all of their products during our tour and participated in their bottling workshop! It was an awesome hands-on experience learning about their bottling process and being able to participate. If you go, it'll be hard to leave without buying some spirits to take home!

We went to the Manatawny Stillworks on a cold Sunday afternoon for the tour. The word "tour" is used loosely because the stillworks consists of one enormous room. The bar is slightly partitioned in the front. The tour was given by Max, the distiller, and was extremely informative. We really enjoyed listening to him explain the process of distilling their different products and how he became a distiller. For $15, you get the tour, a cocktail, tastings of their products and two souvenir glasses. There was another group on our tour and they brought some snacks to have with cocktails after the tour. Great idea! The stillworks has a food truck there on Friday nights. I believe they have music on the weekends too. They have several picnic tables outside for use in the warmer weather. We really enjoyed our afternoon at the stillworks and highly recommend the tour.

Had a great tour from Randy and good cocktails for the tour!! Bought 5 bottles of spirits and they make good spirits! the Vodka by NOAH that helps Animal Rescue shelters was a bonus we did not know about and they support that with this Vodka!! Planning to go back and help bottle some spirits soon! Also can;t wait to go back for a Food Truck Friday event!

The tour ($15) was very educational and fun. It came with a very nice glass. They really care about their product and are passionate about it! Very fun afternoon.

So first things first, they are currently selling three unaged products, a white whiskey, a rum and a vodka. All are in my tasting view - OK as sippers - but here is the rest of the story, The Rum is really good as a mixer in well designed rum cocktails - it adds that great rum flavor and doesn't get lost. The vodka is fine and the distiller doesn't pretend it is anything else but a revenue source and as hot as vodka is today he has to have it. Now for the whiskey - most of us are not very used to "un-aged" whiskeys and will have to develop a taste for this but there is something in there I like. Now here is what has me most excited there are tons of barrels of that whiskey aging away in new american oak, developing depth and character and I for 1 can't wait to go back and try it. The bar area is really cool and the "mixologist" will make you a fine cocktail. I suggest you take the tour - it's $15 and you get a nice cocktail, a complete tour and tasting and a glass to take home. They also do "bottling parties" where you and your friends can help in the bottling process, get a nice tasty treat and a T-shirt only available to those who participate. They have Food Truck Friday, live music some nights, in fact the proprieters are clearly doing everything possible to make this place work. It is well worth a try if for no other reason than to support a local business.

We visited on a Saturday night when they had live music. We couldn't believe how crowded the place was. There were even people outside socializing at the outside picnic area. Inside, they have a good amount of tables and a good sized bar. The music was loud but not overpowering in that you couldn't hear yourself speak. It was a great fun atmosphere. I like that they invite local food trucks so you can get something delicious to eat that's not just ordinary bar food. Their drinks were a little on the small side, but they were strong.

We stopped by the Manatawny Still Works for some drinks and music. We knew the band was a great band because we've seen them before. But due to the high ceilings in the place, they sounded muddled so we really couldn't enjoy them. As for the drinks, they are high priced for very little drink, $6 - $10. I had a whiskey sour and the whiskey tasted like tequilla. My friend had a mojito and the rum tasted like tequilla. I can say that I've been there, done that. We won't be back.

OK, now I've gone to hundreds of wineries and a few breweries and I've done the bourbon trail in KY, this is the first distillery tour i've done outside of KY. This is a brand new place and I think the experience they are offering is incredible. They have a fantastic vision and it shows! We did a tour and had a drink at the bar. They offer tours (on Saturdays) at 1, 3 and 5, it takes roughly 45 mins. The place is small but it is beautiful. The attention to detail is terrific. The people who work there are very down to earth, completely unpretentious, hard working guys. I don't enjoy drinking liquor, I am a wine drinker but I had a blackberry limeade at the bar and it was very good. Watch the bartender craft your drink, it's terrific! I highly recommend this trip. Then hit the brewery across the street! I wish them all the luck in the world, they certainly deserve it! All of the information you will need is on their website. Friday nights they have a food truck and on Saturdays they mentioned they were going to start having live music. Go support local!

That's the meaning of Manatawny and I have little doubt it will be a truism. A good addition to the Pottstown area, from the reaction of all the people in the bar area, this distillery is on its way to being a success. How new is it? We were there Grand Opening Weekend. But even more telling is that the tour guide, Max, is the director of operations, head distiller and appears to be the chief cook & bottle washer. Although the tour consists of merely standing in two areas and looking around, his knowledge of distilling and his passion for "American Whiskey" is intoxicating.Go with friends. Have a designated driver. The tour begins with your choice of one of their cocktails and after the tour you can sample their wheat vodka, rum & white whiskey. (Tours are $15, but we had Living Social discounts)After that, you can walk across the street for something to eat at Sly Fox Brewery. Remember - designated driver
