This is a great shop for anything cheese/dips. Also theh have a deli that sells sandwiches and more and a reasonable price. During the weekend and sometimes throughout the week but limited they have a large amount of sample out. As a local this is a place that we continually go to.
This place is so wonderful! I ordered an Italian sub to share with my boyfriend and it was amazing! The food tasted so fresh and delicious. There are samples of everything around the store and I really love that. We saw that they had cheese curds and we wanted to get them and it was great to be able to try them before purchasing them. They were amazing of course we I bought them. Their ice cream looks phenomenal but I didn't have room for dessert after my sub. I highly recommend this place! You can even buy fresh sliced lunch meat and cheese.
They have a very helpful staff, and awesome products ! Samples are plentiful so buying is easy. Would definetly go again
We live nearby & shopped at their dairy farm. Like their new expanded location. You can observe cheese making process on certain days. All kinds of fresh, local treats and you can sample of their cheeses, dips, etc. Have yet to try their sandwiches, but the area is usually full of hungry visitors. Soups are great. We enjoy eating our ice cream cones sitting in the rockers on the front porch. The hardest part is choosing from their huge variety of homemade ice creams. Expect to stay awhile!
Delicious (and free) samples abound here! Not only do they have many amazing different cheeses, but one can also sample homemade dips, jellies and baked goods. It is nearly impossible to leave without buying at least one of the many scrumptious food items for sale.
During our journey to the East Earl, PA area, we came across the September Farm Country Market and Sandwich Shop. Their store makes cheese onsite, they also offer dairy products, ice cream, various dips and jellies, canned goods, bakery and an eat-in sandwich shop. Such a nice find. While we didn't experience the sandwich shop, there certainly were lots of people who did! the place was packed. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a place.
Since they have expanded and added a sandwich shop and full store, it is a must stop if you are going near Honey Brook.
September Farm is a great country market located in Honey Brook. The store features a variety of freshly made cheeses, baked goods, ice cream and sandwiches. As with many places in Amish county, samples abound, but be forewarned: taste and you'll buy. We especially liked the cheddars and smoked gouda. The ice cream is like gelato in consistency, and there are some interesting flavors, including shoo fly pie ice cream. You buy cups, cones and take home pints. There is also a cafe with sandwiches available to eat in or on the porch. The farm store has recently moved, and while still in a somewhat remote spot in Honey Brook, is bigger and easier to locate. The shop is truly local. Started by Dave Rotelle, the owner and cheesmaker also owns the dairy where the milk comes from, and employs his family. Not only is it enjoyable, but it feels good to support.
We found September Farm Cheese on a road trip last year. This year, we made a special trip on our way somewhere else, just to stop here. The beef sticks, cheese curds and local scrapple was on my shopping list, along with the local cheeses. Pros: Fresh, clean, tasty items. Prices are comparable to other shops we've stopped at. Dont listen to reviews from "Ohio".. This isn't Ohio.. everything is more expensive in the Tri-State area. However, the quality is what I care about. And anything we've gotten from September is top notch. I have no "cons"! It does get crowded on weekends.. The fresh pretzels are amazing. You can watch the nice folks in the back make them.
Where to start?Huge variety of cheese to sample. My favorite is the Italian Herb but all the samples were great. In addition to all the wonderful cheeses, they have a nice selection of baked goods. Decided on peanut butter blossoms and a tray of brownies; both were delicious! If it had been summer, I would've sampled the ice cream - all the flavors sounded yummy. In addition, they also have a dairy department, deli meats, chicken pot pies, smoked meats, salads, pickle barrels and soups. There's also a cafeteria to enjoy a meal as well as patio seating outside. Did I mention how spotlessly clean everything is, both inside and out? The grounds and view are just perfect in this quaint country setting. If you love cheese and want to enjoy a relaxed visit to a beautiful county market, this is the place!!
An natural next step from a diary farm. They still own the farm and use their milk. The dairy farmer started to make his own cheese and the September Farm Cheese is the result. You can watch them make cheese on some day and make bake-goods on other days. There are samples of cheese, bakery goods and other items through out the store. There is a cafeteria to get some delicious hot foods, ice cream and other items right on the premise. They have many local items from candies to chips. Don't plan on running in and spending just a few minutes. The people are so friendly and helpful.
We loved the cheese samples, ice cream, and tasty subs. The variety of chocolate treats are delightful! Every nook and cranny of this place was filled with "down home" goods to buy and sample. You won't be disappointed if you visit super September Farm Cheese!
Large selection, great prices. We bought some of the meat and cheeses, plus we were able to eat hot food while there!
Nice place, great selection of cheeses and things to take home. We will definitely come back! Easy to spend an hour or more in there trying samples and exploring!
This store has made Honey Brook a desination for many people. Only a year after opening they had to double the size of the parking lot. Excellent value and an even better product.
