This is a smaller casino that consists of a good selection of slots, both video and reel, a few table card games, and a small craps pit. Of the slot machines, over half are penny and the rest are a good mix of nickle to $1 and a few $5 machines. Don't expect to find the latest and greatest machines here, mostly machines that are a few years old. They have a few blackjack tables which may not always be open especially in off peak hours, but offer good rules and low minimums. They also have just added a small craps pit that a dealer said should be open in a month (as of 10/14) once they get trained on it.The payouts are hit and miss, just like every other casino. Most of the time a $20 bill nets me at least an hour of quality play on a few of my favorite machines. Most of the time I cash out ahead, but not way ahead, which I'm ok with since I play for entertainment and don't expect to hit it big.The casino itself is smaller and consists of a few different levels and rooms. It's not overly smoky and it's never been super busy for me, but I've never been there over a holiday weekend. It's not decorated in any kind of fashion unlike Lake of the Torches and Potawatomi in Carter which sport a northwoods theme. They have a good slot club that offers comps for low rollers like me. It's nice to be able to get $5 or $10 in free play without having to spend hundreds of dollars.Overall I think Mole Lake casino is a nice place to stop and play for a few hours, especially if you're into slots. I'm not sure I would consider it a weekend destination, though.

While it is true this casino doesn't have alot of the machines or amenities it used to, it can still be a relaxing getaway in a somewhat remote area of the state. They do still offer Monday "Zip Code" day in which you merely have to stick a ten dollar bill in the machine and cycle it through once to earn 1/2 a point (20 in play gets you a full point on your player's card), then go to the player's club to have $10.00 added onto your card in promo. If you're frugal, or just a cheapskate, it's pretty hard to lose on this deal. If you simply like to play for hours on end, this just gives you an extra incentive to stick around. You wouldn't believe what it takes to get the same style of comps from the three closest neighboring casinos, I won't even start on that!Best of all, if you work your way over to cafe adjacent to the bingo hall, you'll find daily specials for $5.00 and an entry into the weekly drawing. Welp, 10-for-10 on the machines minus $5.00 for a fabulous lunch consisting of "Zippy Ribs" (a decent portion too, not stingy as you may anticipate?), baked beans, fries, cloe slaw, and bread makes for a good time and full belly (there are limited other dining options in the area, you'd have to go to Crandon or a good 15-40 miles to find another decent restaurant)! I would just advise all players to carefully view the machines they play (particularly the denomination you are using, and "what it takes" to qualify for the bonus(es) to fully enjoy your experience. They have also brought back the $10.00 promo for birthdays, which is a welcomed change from the cool blue t-shirt that just may be a bit too snug on some of us larger Wisconsinites. Thanks Mole Lake! See you Monday! ...not quite a senior yet, or i'd review those perks as well- although the promos generally function the same way.
