We also feel that nature has given us a beautiful cave and I'm so glad that your guide explained everything. We love to show off this beautiful creation and thank you for letting us show you!

We greatly appreciate your review. We are glad you enjoyed your cavern tour. The underground world is so beautiful and people don't realize it until they see it for themselves.

We ended up seeing the cave as we couldn't go zip lining and we are glad we did. They did a great job of lighting the cave. You actually don't see the wires. The tour guide was very nice and patient with my children's questions. The cave itself is really cool. You do have to climb 74 step down to the cave and then the same steps back up out of the cave. It takes about an hour for the tour and all four of us really enjoyed this educational adventure before our long drive home.

Great Place to learn about Squire Boone a pioneer. Making soap and Candy. All different rock name of minerals.

My family & I found Squire Boone's Caverns, in some State issued tourist book. It's kind of out of the way.It costs $5.00 per vehicle, just to get on the property. Our expectations were low. But, this was a great place to visit. We ended up spending several hours here. The Grist Mill, is still a working mill. It was fun to check out.We walked up the hill, met Sylvester The Cat. He was coy but, friendly. We checked out the bakery, Candle Shop, Soap Works, Gem Store, & Gift Shop.We met Possum The Cat at the Gift Shop, while we waited for our tour to begin. Contrary to what we had been told, she was tentative but, friendly. The tour group was small. There were only 7 of us, plus our guide. The tour took a little less than an hour. It was lead by a very enthusiastic & knowledgeable young man.I really enjoyed the whole experience. The only part that caused me to pause was, the part where we were shown what is supposedly Squire Boone's Coffin & current resting place inside the caverns.I didn't really mind it but, I'm not entirely sure it's appropriate.Personally when I pass, I'm not sure I'd would want my grave to be a stop on a tour.

I had a great experience here; they have friendly staff members and the prices are cheap for the experience. The caverns are amazing to see and the tour guides are great at what they do. Be prepared to learn a thing or two about geology and history as the guides are knowledgable in both subjects pertaining to the caverns. Overall, it was a great experience that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat.

My Girl Scout troop visited here on Tuesday afternoon.. We had a wonderful time in the cave, candle dipping, soap making, gem mining and grist mill tour!! The girls enjoyed all the question boxes and then getting "rock candy" to eat!!! We will back to visit again!!!

Was a nice family outing. The spiral staircase is old and wet/slippery. Part of cave was closed off. My only complaint was 2 people taking pictures constantly. In that dark environment they about blinded everyone. Should be no cameras allowed. Parking is $5 and bakery is expensive

The setting at this cave is beautiful. The walk through the cave is not very long. You get to the end and turn around. There are 64 circular steps at the beginning (according to my son who counted each step). My favorite part was the casket/body of Daniel Boone's brother. We went to the bake shop and had a cookie (very good). We went to the soap shop and the employee explained the process really well. We then went to the candle shop and we weren't even greeted. Still, it was nice to visit. You do have to pay $5 to park in addition to paying for entrance.

We visited here recently. Grounds and staff all very nice . The cluster of buildings hosting the various trades from milling to candle making all enjoyable , as was their staff. The cave tour , thru no fault of theirs, evidently -- was a little disappointing. The cave has been blocked off and the complete , one way tour is currently not possible. Forcing a U turn and the retracing of your exact route . Also , since to enter the cave you immediately go down a rather lengthy spiral staircase-- you must climb UP that same staircase to exit. But , all in all, a nice few hour experience.

My husband and I won tickets to Squire Boone Cavern last Fall and decided to visit during our Fourth of July weekend road trip around southern Indiana. We enjoyed the two hours we spent there, but we were a bit disappointed in the cavern tour. During our tour, we passed by (obviously) significant things that were not talked about by our tour guide. When I asked our tour guide about it, she said she would talk about it on the way out, and explained there had been a cave-in two months ago blocking the natural entrance (where you exit the tour). We turned around to make our way back out and to pass things we had just seen, then had to squeeze sideways to allow another (large) tour group get past us who were starting their tour. Note: We were told the cave-in won't be cleaned up until 2016. Since our tickets were free for the caverns, we really can't complain. Also, note there is a $5 parking/access to village fee.

I am so sorry for your bad experience with the candle dipper. We heavily stress to our staff how important it is to show our guests Hoosier hospitality and clearly the candle dipper did not do this. Would you mind to let us know what day you visited the park? We are pretty sure we know who the candle dipper was the day you attended but we want to make sure and address this problem with the correct person. This is not behavior that we allow and we want to take measures to get it stopped. Thank you for letting us know so we can take care of the problem.

Thank You so much for coming to visit and we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your cavern tour! We love our cave and we are so excited when we can share it with others.

We want to thank you and your Mom for visiting and for the review. I personally want to thank you for your comment on the tour needs more geological information. That is part of our tourguide training but we will stress this even more and make sure our guides have more information.
