First of all - on beautiful, weekend days it can be very crowded. That said, it is such a lovely place with so many different activities, you probably won't care. Tickets for the attractions are just $1 each. Best carousel ride you'll ever take! Train ride goes around the park, short but fun ride, play equipment, and old caboose you can check out, plenty of places to spread out and have a picnic or walk around. The cafe has local, organic selections some of which are very health conscious. Just a lovely spot all around!

I went as a kid and took my kids many times. we use to take them when they did something good. one of raleighs gems.

It is a beautiful park with a few kiddie rides, train, wonNderful Carousel. I have visited over half of the remaining Abtique Carousels(100 remaining of 1000 that existed in 1970. This one I'd among my favorites. Grand kids love the play area and paddle boats. Great local food. Only fee is for rides.

We take two granddaughters & keep them busy having fun on the Train, riding the Different animals on the Antique Carousel, playing in the playground, boat ride, checking out the geese, ducks, etc. We always have lunch there, food is good, fair price, & plenty of outside seating to choose from! Pricing to use all rides is reasonable & people are friendly! A nice family attraction!

Pullen Park was renovated a few years ago and although we never went there before the renovation I can assure you it's absolutely great now. It's really set up to be a cheap and easy place to keep young kids entertained all day. The parking is free and convenient, the playground is modern and well designed, the cafe offers healthy and cheap food and the whole place is clean and well maintained. There are also a number of attractions which cost a nominal fee: a train, some smaller kiddie rides, paddle boats on the small lake and a vintage, restored carousel. For the hot days the playground also boasts mist stations to keep cool. I wish the playground area had more shade and seating areas for parents and I hope something like that will be installed soon. Having said that, I would recommend Pullen Park to anyone looking for a fun, cheap place to take the family for the day.

My kids love this place and I must admit, I do too. My little girl gets so excited over the train and there are plenty of play areas for the kids to run around and be kids. Children of all ages are there and the picnic area is shaded and quite. They really did a great revitalization of this park a few years ago and it's very clean and very reasonable. If you have kids and want to spend time with them outside, this is the place to go.

Pullen park is a Raleigh institution. My four year old thinks it's the best place on earth...and my 11 and 16 year olds enjoy it too! The food in the cafe is decent and the rides are so well priced. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in Raleigh.

We visited the park with young kids on February 1st and stayed there for about 3 hours total. Enjoyed the train ride and the play area. Carousel and mini boat rides were closed because of the cold. Decent place to visit during spring and summer months.

With the recent upgrades the park is simply a wonderful place to go. There are many things to do for all ages.

I took my grandson, 4 years old, and his parents to Pullen Park when they came to visit. It's a wonderful park with great play grounds, green space, a train, paddle boats and a 1920's carousel. The park is free, but there is a small charge for the rides. Everybody loved it.

We always take out out-of-town visitors here -- esp. since they renovated it. Reasonably priced for rides and food. Great place for young and old.

Kids of all ages love this park! The train and the carousel are our favorites. The playground area is clean and has a misting station, which is always a hit.

Went on a weekday with 2 grandchildren. They had never been there before they loved walking around the park and playing in the different play area unfortunately the rides were under maintenance but gives us opportunity to revisit. Awesome place

Usually busy but that's because it is such a pretty park. Love the merry go round, beautiful grounds and paddle boats.

Great place for a family to visit. Young adults too for a change of pace. Lovely walking areas, Merry go round. Train, Great playground area. Young adults can enjoy it too. Paddle boats and picnic areas. Took my kids there when they were younger and they couldn't wait to go back when it was reopened.
