I went to this theater last night for the first time in years. Honestly, I have forgotten why I haven't been back in so long, probably just the far location from my house. I was shocked with the prices, for a family of 5, we only paid $12 for our tickets. The concessions are where they make their money, as they are overpriced. But the theatre was clean and the staff was friendly. The restrooms were also clean. If you want to see some last-run movies, then this is the spot to look into. I'll definitely be back here.
This place would be awesome if it was cleaner. The staff is nice enough, but it seems like a place parents take their kids because of the price. I admit, I haven't been there in the evening to see what the date crowd is like.
Good Location friendly staff, close to shopping restaurants, movie theaters. We enjoyed our stay very much and next time if we are in that area we will definitely consider this again
We go here often - as with any movie theater, the concessions are overpriced, but we get in and out (and satisfied) for $15.
they don't clean the theaters well and they have very loud guests that attend there. I'd recommend going to a different demographic theater.
Nice theater for $2! Normally very clean and staff is fast and friendly. I like the summer kid movie sessions.
cheep theater and it was better than the last time I had been here long ago.We recent saw two movies here (during the daytime)! The popcorn was actually good and the prices were not bad. The theater appeared to be much cleaner than in times past. I had avoided this for a few years but the theater and the bathrooms were not bad! I would NOT hesitate to go back!
If first run blockbuster is not a high priority, this is THE place to go for your movie date. $2.25 is the daily rate with a bit more for 3D. Ticket specials for senior citizens on Monday is $1.25! Movie concessions are expensive wherever you go and this is no exception. It's an older multi-plex, so don't expect new fab seats, but the theater is clean and well maintained. If you plan to go often, get a gift card loaded up and you at set!
This place is great is you don't want to spend $10 for a movie night and don't mind watching movies released a little while ago. We paid $2.25 each for a night show of the movie "Noah" and it was fun. The seats are not too comfy but it was ok as we didn't expect much since the tickets were so cheap. The popcorn was expensive, we didn't get one though.I would definitely go there again for cheap movie night dates with my wife.
If you want to see something in the theater but don't mind waiting for it's second run. Cinemark is your place. The tickets are cheaper (especially on Tues.) but the concessions are not. Don't come hungry or expecting all the flairs of a high-end cinema and you won't be disappointed. Earlier shows are also better as the bathrooms get worse as the night goes on.
Full dinner service in a movie theater… another million dollar idea I didn't have! The food is better than the expected sports bar fare, and the staff pays attention to the guest without interfering with the movie experience. Well place in South Charlotte, a fun evening for everyone can be had here.
I must say I love living in Matthews, because of this theater. I love having a cheap theater to go to with my friends or daughter. I think the popcorn here is better than the AMC. If you are looking for something cheap to do, check out this theater.
Great place for a budget-conscious family of 5. The popcorn tastes better than at the regular expensive theaters and it is a refillable tub. The screens are large, not stadium seating but we usually don't have a problem. The only downside is that the theatre never seems "clean". The bathroom is hit or miss (no pun intended!) and soap is not always available. Other than that, we go at least 6 times a year.
When you are paying only $2 a movie...you can't expect the high tech theater experience. This theater is great for a cheap adventure. The food inside is way over priced. I'd just ask if you're going to come... come ON TIME... always seems there are people coming in way after the movie starts.
This is a great place if you want to watch a movie but don't want to waste a lot of money. Two years ago, you could go to Movies 10 and watch a movie for 50 cents, but due to the economy, Movies 10 now costs $1 a person. Times are getting tough ;) if you want to watch a moderately new film and have some spare change, Cinemark Movies 10 is the place for you.
