Great wine at a reasonable price. Friendly staff that is always willing to provide feedback and great service. Nice location.
I have visited twice. In August 2013 and January 2014. The wine tasting is between $5-$10 (don't remember which price, will update if I find receipt) and it includes a logoed wine glass to keep. During the tasting they are informative about flavors, and they tell the history of the llama the wine is named after. Yes, the owners have "show llamas" like show dogs, where they compete and get ribbons for their looks and obedience. The llamas are on the property, and you are allowed to stroll around and get a closer look at them. This is especially enjoyable with a glass of wine in hand on a nice day. The traminette is so good I bought a bottle and made it my special occasion wine!
We visited divine llama vineyards yesterday. We had not been there in years. We really enjoyed the wines. The favor is more defined than in the past. We enjoy seeing the LLamas and Alpacas. Worth the trip
enjoyed the wine, and the atmosphere! really enjoyed talking with the guy who did our tasting (i am pretty sure he was the winemaker/owner). they were accomodating for our quick visit with our 2 kids, who loved seeing the llamas. we will definitely go again, picnic in hand next time to enjoy the beautiful environment.
We are predominately red drinkers, but have fallen in love with the Traminette Gold. Fun winery and farm.
The tasting was very rushed and the person doing the tasting was very distracted. She barely told is the name of the wines. Don't really get the whole llama thing either
My wife and I are not much on dry wines, which seem to be the theme here, but did find something we both enjoyed. So,we got a bottle. The llamas are beautiful, and there are lots of them.
This was one of our later stops along the wine trail. We got here and the property is really cute, with a small quaint tasting room. An owner did our tasting and I dont know if he was distracted but it felt a little rushed. Overall he was very nice and geniune. They have some quality wines for it being a younger winery along the trail. They were one of the only smaller wineries along the trail that offered things for sale like Tshirts with the winery name - which is nice so you can pick up something other than wine to take home. Overall, pretty cute winery with good wines. Would love to come back and spend a little more time here.
What's not to love?? Limited hours, call ahead! We enjoyed meeting the llamas with our glass of wine in hand. Beautiful location.
Yes, you heard right - the Divine Llama Vineyards is a wonderful location to visit. - not only for the superb wines they feature, but also for the various Llama's that are maintained on the premises. Kids will love this scenario in particular. This is a small winery that has effectively blended the love for animals - in this case actual Llama's which you can "usually" pet outside, and the love for wine. Both blend together quite well, meaning that not only are animals people friendly (and intriguing), but the winery showcases a variety of superb wines - both gorgeous whites and reds. The building is rather nice also, and it's just a blast sitting outside on the front porch - which melts any stress right away!I've attached some photos to give you an idea of what the place looks like and hopefully the Trip Advisor will allow them to accompany this review. In the meantime, lots of folks are beginning to do what we often do during the fall time-frame - that is, plan a long 3-day weekend to visit a half-dozen wineries or more in the gorgeous central NC wine country.Enjoy.....
