This was a very small park. It is a good place to walk and listen to the sounds of the cascading waters. The falls are very small, but pretty and the sound of the water is soothing. It was too cold to dip my feet in the water.

You would never know it was there! Even when sitting at the picnic tables, you can't hear it. Go down the hill! Hope you have your swimsuit ready! Beautiful and fun!

Apparently this used to be cooler but it's not really a "falls" but more like a babbling brook. That being said, it is actually a cool swimming spot with very clear water.

Want a way to cool off? Head to Cascade Falls, south of Hot Springs for cool, refreshing family fun!

Cascade was so much fun. Beautiful and tranquil. I only gave it a four because of the rattle snakes. While we were eating lunch we could here one rattling somewhere in the weeds behind us. Kind of creepy. The wading area is very nice on a 98 degree day. Place was a little crowded the day we went, but it was hot and July. This was my kids' favorite stop.

I love this place. I grew up with a dad that worked for a house moving company for many years. When ever we were in South Dakota near Hot Springs, he would always take me there. I grew up swimming in this place and I love it. Bring your swim suit and a lunch or picnic and enjoy. The only thing to worry about is the poison ivy on the opposite bank in places but that is about it!

We really enjoyed spending an hour here. There's a couple shallow pools appropriate for little kids and one deep one for adults and big kids who are confident swimmers. Bring a picnic and your beach chairs.

Visited this swimming hole a few years ago. It was out of the way, but a true hidden gem. Swam in the pools, frolicked in the falls. There were 4 kids and three adults in our party. Had a fun time until a massive storm rolled in. I recommend this for folks who like the outdoors. You need to walk down some stairs to access the pools, and water shoes would be a good idea. Signs tell of snakes and poison ivy...didn't see either. Picnic shelters and bathrooms on site.

A bit south, but if you are in the area and like nature sceens then go. Swim at your own risk and it seems safe. Kids loved it, slashed around the falls. Din't see a snake, but it was on our mind.

Cascade falls and swimming hole- there is something utterly special about this place. Luke warm water, inviting natural pools, gorgeous surroundings, beautiful weather, more then friendly locals, and pure enjoyment for all. I highly recommend this natural beauty to anybody- its truly a hidden gem!

Very pretty & serene. Small pathway leads you to and around the small falls. Signs read caution rattlesnakes & poison ivy but it adds to the mystery!

We came across this jewel as we were trekking across SD on our family vacation. It was a dot on the map that we decided stop and take a look at. Luckily, we all had our swimsuits packed in the car. We quickly changed and hopped in the gorgeous, clear, inviting water! My children are 5, 10, and 12. There are some mini waterfalls/rapids that empty into a small pool perfect for the kids -- especially the youngest one. The water then travels down some more rapids into a blue hole. I'm not sure how deep the water is but you can't see the bottom. Me, my husband, and the older two kids had fun splashing around in the blue hole. A local told us that there is even a cave down there. I fell in love with this place!!! Gorgeous is all I can say...and, best of all, we had it all to ourselves and it was free!

We were driving around Hot Springs when we ran into the spot. After getting out of the car, we went down to the Falls. The falls are not spectacular but there fun little spot. My son took off his shoes and jumped into the water. If I been better prepared we would've brought along swimsuits. And he had fun walking along the rocks.

Cascade Falls is a cute spot. The water wasn't all that warm, but the scenery is gorgeous. Our boys enjoyed playing in the water and splashing. Beware, there are venomous snakes in that area. We didn't see or hear any, but just beware.

OK. We pulled in and parked. Noticed that the young males here looked a little "gangish". They were tattooed and had different colored bandanas on. There was a sheriff's car there so we figured it was okay to go in. Found out after we got there the cop was there to ensure that the participants of the recent fight were leaving. Apparently there had been a gang fight just before we arrived. We just went ahead and left although it is a beautiful spot. We were there on a Saturday. Maybe a weekday would have had a higher quality crowd of visitors.
