Spartanburg Museum of History is chock full of information on the area. In the past local cotton mill's were the economic boom that kept Spartanburg County thriving, there is a lot of history that is interesting to learn about if you are just visiting or live here. It's worth the trip to go find out more about what the museum has to offer.
Much to learn about Spartanburg history. Good maps. Kid friendly. They have exhibits as well. Helpful staff.
The museum is in a beautiful new space. I wish they had built it larger to include more information. Better than when it was at the library on Pine I guess.
The museum is very nice for what there is. I was expecting a larger museum withh more information. However, I must stay the staff was 100% committed in having youget as much as you can from what is there. 1 hour visit and you will learn much about Spartanburg.
Great local museum at the Chapman Cultural Center. There is the Art Museum below the Museum of History so this is a great way to spend a whole day immersed in culture. Good displays, lots of information, and very helpful staff. There is so much history from this area and it's a great way to learn local history.
This place has a ton of information about Spartanburg and Spartanburg County. They have a large hall for special exhibits. The front desk sells informative books on the history of the county
1. Have your picture taken at Daniel Morgan and The Clock Tower statues. 2. Get a gallon of sweet tea to take home. 3. Wake up in a new place each day. 4. Visit the Zentrum at BWM. 5. Get a souvenir at the Farmer's Market.
Give yourself an hour. And talk to the lady that works at the desk. She has a ton of information about the area and past. I found out a lot about the region from talking to her. They also have plenty of maps of the United states from the 1800's. It is weird to see what the states looked like back than.
The Spartanburg Regional Museum is a nice little museum. The displays are creative. There were some interesting interactive displays. The workers were happy to answer questions. I liked the old furniture the best.Although it is small, it is a pleasant place to be for an hour or two.
