We took our two year old grandson & he had a ball watching the goats, chickens & guineas. I enjoy visiting the little shop to purchase their home made goat soap & cheese. I do wish they would expand their shop to include a few crafts or other items.

With lake Hartwell having bacterial odor issues that are supposed to last for several issues, Spit Creek Farm is now the best attraction in all of Anderson County. The hands-on farm allows children and parents to get up close and person with the goats. Along with the friendly mountain-sized dogs, random cats, obnoxious chickens, and a few old farm buildings. There is also a small store when you can by everything goat. Get the fudge. As a matter of fact, get the fudge first, then see the goats. That way, you can get more fudge for the ride home. If you want to get the most out of your trip, try to plan it when they have a bunch of newly born goats. Call ahead to (864) 287-3921 and they will give you an idea of when the best time to visit is. But don't worry if there are baby goats on the way, visiting Split Creek is always fun.

When my husband was working in Anderson I would take my 3 year old to this farm every time we visited (5-6 times total). Its a great place just to relax while the kids play and walk around. Its safe and the owners/staff are friendly.

A great place to visit if a: you have kids or b: you like goats. I like goats, chickens, farm cats and dogs so it was wonderful for me. I thought the feta cheese was excellent. Be aware that it is a real working farm so dirt and odors are normal. Dogs bark but won't bite and the people are really nice.

Wonderful little hidden gem!!! Lemon & strawberry goat milk yogurts were incredible!!!wish I lived close so I could get it all the time! Lemon/basil goat cheese is sooooooo good-could eat the whole thing in one sitting if I didn't hold myself back!

Our three year old and baby loved the baby goats. They also chased the chickens. It is such a pleasure to visit a small locally owned farm such as this. Now the cheese: fabulous! The Feta is out of this world! Everyone enjoyed our visit!

My wife and kids and I went there on Sat 3/1/14 and I was heart broken to see that most of the goats were near lame because of infections in their hooves. I keep goats myself and know that it only takes a few minutes a month to keep a goats hooves in good shape. We also noticed a goat with lumpy jaw ( a very contagious infection similar to staff infection) penned next to pregnant does.We asked if they needed someone to come in and take care of the hooves and were told that they didn't feel they needed any more attention than they already got. If not for the surety of the animals being put down I would call PETA and have the place put down, as it stands I will never patronize Split Creek Farm again. It's criminal the way they neglect the animals in their care.

I visited a few months ago and asked for two dozen eggs that had been collected the day I was there or the day before. The lady got a dozen from the cooler and went outside the shop area to get another dozen. I then asked if the eggs had been collected the day I was there or the day before. The answer I got was "Oh yes, they're fresh." This response was ambiguous so I asked the question again and got the same answer. The ambigious answer bothered me, but with trust I bought the eggs anyway. Well, I'm not an expert, but one of the eggs had already started developing with the first beginnings of feathers when I cracked it. So, I'm pretty convinced they weren't fresh, and it's a shame because I would have become a regular customer if I had gotten what I asked for without ambiguity from the saleslady.

This is located near a bend in the road and you can fly right by it before you realize, so keep an eye out. We have taken adult friends here without children, but it is especially good for kids. There are no playgrounds or rides here -- just good fun -- and great photo ops for the kids. Lots of animals, grown and babies -- last time we saw a goat only 5 hours old -- awwww! There is no charge to see the animals and there is sufficient parking.Make sure to go inside the store. They have many items for sale including soaps, lavendars, milks, a nice variety of cheeses and items mixed with the cheeses, etc. They affer free samples also. Bring your camera.

This is a great working goat farm to visit for both adults and children. Check out their website for the open house on a Saturday, usually in the Fall. And make sure you go into the store and sample their cheeses - they are fantastic! They make their own cheeses as well as a "to die for" fudge. Goat milk is also for sale.

Yummy award-winning goat cheese products. A wonderful place to visit in the spring when the baby goats are on display--our young grandkids love to go there. Fun to visit at other times too to walk around and see the potbelly pigs and goats.

You're first greeted by the most beautiful hens and roosters. Then a wonderful Newfoundland name Sophie gives you a sniff or two. Next stop is the goats in all shapes and sizes. They all vie for attention and allow you to pet them. The gift shop has many choices of feta cheese all equally flavorful. The cheese balls are fantastic. We also took home some goat milk soap. Try the fudge as well. Farms like this deserve our support. We need to take our human kids to places like this and shop here. This is a Grade A Dairy!

These ladies have a wonderful goat dairy farm, sell cheese, drinks, have a small gift shop and give tours. Baby goats are precious to pet but will eat any part of your clothing that fits into their little mouths. Cats and dogs guard the grounds. Very friendly place.

Good place to go with kids to see and pet farm animals. Well known for their goat cheese. You can see goats, pot belly pigs, chickens, etc. For kids who don't know where their food comes from, this is a good place to visit to see first hand.
