Was recommencd to this winery for it's white wine and visited them late in the day on a Wednesday. Small tasting room with outdoor seating but with big wines. Family run and very friendly, enjoyed talking with family learning about there wines. This winery is all about making good wine for you to enjoy. Come here with a camera for the views and time to enjoy some good wine.

So as I have said we are wine snobs. We really prefer wines from Napa. That said we found the reserve wines at Hart Winery really nice including the desert wine.We would have bought the dessert wine but we thought it was way too much money in relation to other dessert wines.I must say that the crew at Harts were some of the nicest people we have experienced in aTemecula winery

Hart is a quaint family winery that has a simple, rustic tasting room. There is a nice patio outside with pretty views. Nothing fancy, the focus is on the wine here. We arrived at 10:00am on a Sunday and there was only one other couple in the tasting room. Hart is known for their reds, which is exactly what my husband and I were looking for. Brianne greeted us with a smile and explained their tasting menu of 6 wines for $12. There were many wines to choose from, so we each bought a tasting and tried 10 different wines between the 2 of us. The wines were on par with some of our favorite wineries in Napa Valley and the central coast wine country. Brianne was very knowledgeable about all the wines and explained the characteristics/ process of each wine we tried. She was also very helpful in suggesting other boutique wineries in the area that are known for reds. We left with a couple of bottles and will visit again on our next rip to Temecula.

Hart was the first stop on our personalized wine tour with Tom, from Wineormous. The wines were great and we enjoyed the opportunity of talking with some of the members of this family of winemakers. As other reviewers have said, this place is all about wine and the art of wine making. Take your time, ask questions, listen and enjoy.Hart Winery will be at the top of the list next time we visit Temecula.

This is a family owned winery. My wife and I have been coming here when we are in town for almost 30 years. We live in Las Vegas but come here at least four times a year to pick up wine. This is a winery that puts their effort and money into making great wines. The tasting room is just that, a place to taste their wines, it's not a huge edifice that lesser wineries hide behind. Rosalie is usually serving wines in the tasting room and if you come by late in the day you might see Joe Hart or his son Jim stopping in to say hi. Jim's wife Christine works at the winery as well and she and Rosalie are great sources for information about Temecula.Whatever wineries you decide to visit this is the one you cannot miss.

Surprised to see that they are open at 9:00 am, so go here first since all the others don't open until 10 or 11 am. Not a big tasting room but pleasant. Breann provided the tasting. We liked the Grenache to take home. The website has 6 tastings for 10.00 it was $12.00. But that is the going price for tastings. Average wines but nice.

What a great job they have done at this great winery since they have remodeled. It looks and feels great. As always, the wines are fantastic!

We have visited several wineries in this and other regions so I have admittedly high standards. This place is OK but not one of my top favorites. The wines were pretty good. The Merlot and Cab Franc were delicious. Their whites I was not as fond of but they were still very drinkable. The tasting room is a little small but there's a nice cool front porch where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine with a pretty nice view. This is not as upscale as some of the places in Temecula but maybe that's a good thing. If you are visiting the area, this should be on your list if you have time.

The tasting room is a barn with plywood over wine barrels to serve as the tasting bar. Not the most impressive especially when compared to the other wineries in Temecula. If I was only rating the facility, it would be one out of five stars. The benefit here is the quality of the people pouring and their interaction with the customer. Plus, they open at 0900, an hour before any of the others. We ended up buying the Rousanne and the Tres Hermanos. There web site lists the tasting as 6 for $10 but we paid $12. Maybe because it was Memorial Day weekend? Maybe they just raised the price and didn't update the website? We also liked their logo wine glass and bought one for $5.

First, what it's not: this is not an attractive spot for wine "tasters" whose real purpose is drinking wine for an afternoon. The tasting room is small (being expanded slightly) and usually crowded. The wine barrels are visible from and immediately adjacent to the small area carved out for a tasting room. That said, Hart produces consistently outstanding wines in small batches. They've recently started providing the number of cases of each vintage produced on the bottle labels; usually less than 400 cases. Thus Hart wines aren't distributed widely at retail. Do not let this fool you: these are wonderful, reasonably priced wines. A favorite of ours is their magnificent dessert wine: Aleatico. It is expensive but well worth the price. On a recent tasting visit, we liked every single wine we tasted. All were better than any single wine from the other two wineries we visited. The wait staff clearly enjoy wines and are knowledgeable of wines and of the Temecula valley wineries.I give Hart 5 stars on wine quality and the excellent wait staff. If you're looking for a fancy tasting experience with optional snacks or meals, you'll be sorely disappointed. If you want good wines, you'll be delighted. Coming off the I-15 through Temecula, this is the first winery you'll come to. If you only want good wines, you needn't go any further. Best time to visit is early and late in the day. It gets very hectic when any wine tour group arrives.

Not as fancy as most of the wineries in the area. Tastings were in a shed like building, The bar was a piece of plywood sitting on barrels. She did give us coupons for other wineries in the area to try thier wine

So many of the "corporate owned" wineries seem to be modern, glass shrines and "Monstrosities" within a bucolic and pastoral setting -- but not Hart Family Wineries. While his son is the current wine maker, Mr. Joe Hart (>90 years old) still comes into the winery 5 days a week. Very small production wines, that are for the most part only available at the winery or via the club, make for a unique experience. We enjoyed three wines: The 2009 Driveway: This is their "Meritage" equivalent, showing a similar medium-bodied Bordeaux-style blend that is very drinkable now. The 2010 Merlot was a great surprise, and actually much more structures and full bodied than any of the other wines. And something we had never tried before: The Aleatico: With a very high alcohol content (>18%), this member of the Muscat grape family is native to Italy’s Puglia region, creating a very flavorful dessert, sweet wine with very pungent floral aromatics and bouquet. The tasting room is quiet and cold--because it is also their barrel and fermentation room.

All of our pours were consistently good and delicious . Brianne was lovely, extremely knowledgable, personable and we so enjoyed our Hart experience with her. Regrettably we forgot to tip....but we will double it next time.

Good wines here. Tasting room is rustic, which means small and not fancy. Don't let it fool you. You're there for the wines and not the view. Staff was friendly.

Jason was funny and knowledgable...made it a fun stop. We liked all of the wines and loved two: Driveway Red and the port wine. Best port wine we have ever sampled. Highly recommended.
