We drove thru the Canyon after sunrise at Dante's View. The road is of course dirt, but was in good condition. Some very interesting formations and colors along the drive.

Though a well maintained dirt road, the drive could cause some street drivers a little anxiety. Do it, you'll be looking to buy a 4x4 when you get home.

Twenty Mule Team Canyon is a one way drive on a narrow, unpaved road that is graded but still a thrilling drive. We have a SUV but it could be done in a car. It's an amazing close-up trip through all the beauty of Death Valley.

This is an easy side trip off of Highway 190 just a few miles from Furnace Creek. The road is dirt but fairly smooth. It's a one way drive but does have a few tight corners but shouldn't be a problem if you have any experience driving dirt or gravel roads. The hills along the Canyon drive are different than any you'll see anyplace else in Death Valley. Be sure and have your camera ready and when you find a wide spot, pull over and hike around for a short time, just to stretch your legs and see some really beautiful country!

Zabrisike point closed for the season and this one ride was our last to visit in death valley..its easy to go by a sedan car thru the oneway road

As seniors, we remember the commercials for 20 mule team borax so it was a treat to visit this part of Death Valley. It is interesting to read the information on how it was mined.

But I rented a jeep and bounced along, stopping at a few places to wander. Great scenery is only seen by those who get out and walk.

We came upon this path and thought what the heck, let's give it a whirl. Yes there are parts where the road is a little scary, but you're in Death Valley the whole place is an adventure. You gotta examine all the nooks and crannies. Pull the car over to the side and climb a mountain.

This is a short drive on a gravel road. Take it slow and stop frequently for pix. It's definitely a worth the effort no matter how rushed you are!

There is no warning on the 25 feet max vehicle and there should be. We were driving a 24 foot truck and were very worried. There is no place to turn around - beware. This was not a spectacular drive and I would not do it again unless I was in a smaller vehicle and planned to do some hiking/exploring.

This is a great little drive. Enjoyed parking and running up some of the hills to get pictures. Such a diverse amount of color and texture.

We walked the hills in this area. Is a very easy and pleasant walk especially in January with the temperature is cooler. We only took a day trip to the park. The next time you plan to spend more time there is so much to see.

Beautiful views from the car so we didn't have to brave the cold (we visited in January and in the shade it was freezing, but hot in the sun).

You'll see amazing stone formations on a road that, for Death Valley dirt roads, is very driveable. A wonderful, beautiful, short diversion.

Quick and fun drive through, definitely a quick must do in the park. It only takes a few minutes and not really any place to get out and poke around, just a fun loopy drive to kick off the park visit.
