在去point loma最南面的路边,一片二战之后各种战争军人的墓地,非常有条理地管理,在一大片草坪上整齐的墓碑,两边都临海,风景无限好,让军人安眠在美丽的风景里
When getting to the cemetery, you travel through neighborhood and neighborhood, then all of a sudden you reach this awe-inspiring vista a white that seems to stretch out to the ocean. It was serene, but also thought provoking to appreciate why you are here because of those who gave their lives. It is a place of tranquil beauty and meditation and a reminder of things that happened not so long ago.
A humbling experience walking among the ranks of these service personnel. Wonderful views of San Diego from the cemetary and on the way to the monument.
A national military cemetery set in one of the most beautiful places in San Diego, or anywhere. Both of my parents are here, and we visit regularly to remember them. It's always beautiful and serene. The sheer number of grave sites is a bit overwhelming, and humbling.Freedom isn't free.
We have seen many CONUS and OCONUS military cemetaries. This ranks among the best. The best way for anyone to appreciate the sacrifices of our military veterans is to visit this cemetery and walk the grounds. It is a must see on the way to Cabrillo National Monument.
I have been to many of us cementerys but i belive that this is the most amazing of them all. Its on its way to the light house so i really recomend a visit to this place.
Not only is this place very humbling, the views are unbelievable! You feel like you are flying in a plane when looking out over San Diego.
Reading the plaques, headstones and monuments makes me feel blessed. I am from Canada but it would not be what it is today without all of these men and woman who fought for the United States. Seeing rows upon rows of headstones and all of these final resting spots is sobering. Go on a nice morning and take a moment to reflect.
Great views of Coronado Island, the ocean, and San Diego from up here!! The property is very well kept.
We were there for a funeral this time but have been there many times to visit the gravesite of a loved one. Always go up to Point Loma and walk to the lighthouse and around bay overlook area as well. Peaceful. Beautiful. Nice walk.
I made an impulsive decision to stop in here on my way back from the Cabrillo National Monument. So glad I did.The peaceful beauty here is something I haven’t seen since visiting the memorial and Normandy American Cemetery in France: perfectly aligned white headstones on beautiful green grass, and a backdrop of blue sky and ocean. Pick a nice day and have your camera ready.
Besides the humbling experience, the view of the Pacific was fantastic. Hit it on the way back from Carrillo national monument and tide pools.
This sacred place of honor overlooks some of the most breathtaking vistas of the San Diego area. In addition to the views, one cannot help be moved by the sheer sight of the sacrifices of men and women for our freedoms.
This cemetery ison a point over looking the bay and ocean. What more could you want for a final resign place. The sweeping views beautiful trees and striking white crosses make me chock up just thinking of it. The grounds are very nicely cared for and maintained. Its interesting to read the dates of the military buried there. Super patriotic place.
This is a very beautiful and peaceful place. So many white head stones glistening in the sun on the peninsula of Port Loma.
