This is a group of old homes and farm structures that were brought to a small green park area and restored. They are packed with authentic antiques, whether kitchen appliances or book printing machines. You can either take a free booklet and walk around or get a tour (ck. for seasonal dates). There was an elderly man in the gift shop who was delighted to take me around and open all the doors. I loved the story about how the town name was changed to Oakhurst. I believe there are 2 houses, barn, jail, schoolhouse and some antique wagons. It is barely a mile or two from the downtown intersection and yet the 3 people in nearby stores I asked about it had no idea it even existed. I hope it gets better publicity now that it is on Trip Advisor. I bought some used handmade Christmas ornaments in the shop for low prices. The parking lot is between the road and the park. It's all volunteer run, so I made a donation in the jar inside to help keep this park going. Check for their seasonal hours; as I believe they close in January. I just loved it; top quality.
