Had a great time at Wente! The course is beautiful. Get a spicy bloody mary in the morning and Morning Fog with lunch overlooking the course.

The surroundings for a serene breakfast are enhanced with beautiful birds in the distance. The golf course is a few steps away but it is too early for anyone to be so close to this great place for a meal.Ryan does a superb job of waiting on us this particular morning. Both meals were done to perfection. My step-son had a breakfast sandwich which he thoroughly enjoy. My eggs and potatoes were cooked as I had requested along with the crispy bacon. I need to try lunch at some point.

This course is one of the most challenging in the Livermore/Pleasanton area. The layout is great, it's very scenic, a few holes you have to go up hill but when you get to the top, the views are amazing. I don't recommend going into the brush because of rattelsnakes. Some players have been bitten in the past. Talk about a hazard!! It's well worth playing this course.

Beautiful location with vineyard and golf course intermingled. Nice all American style outdoor café restaurant with good choice menu and wine selection. Pleasant for special occasions as wedding on going during our visit otherwise ideal for friends sporty types family or couples to visit. Prices are reasonable but again you will need transport to reach

You will feel like your at a country club. Pro shot is very professional and the attached grill is great. Much higher-end than other non-private courses.Chipping and putting green (1 each) are available right next to the pro shop which is great. To get to the range you have a 5 minute cart ride up to the top of the hill, but balls are free and range has great views.Course looks docile but is very tough. If you are a high handicapper play your 1st round from the white tees. It looks short on the card, but trust me - it isn't. This course has many elevation changes and course management is really important here. They have a very reasonable re-round rate so if you want to play 36 I recommend you play the blue's in the AM when the wind is down and then re-round from the whites when the normal winds are blowing.

The menu had a lot of variety to appeal to many tastes. The beet salad was excellent, and a very refreshing way to start the meal. The wine list was, of course, outstanding. Our large group had impeccable service and delicious food in a beautiful setting.

This 18 hole golf course, designed by golfing legend Greg Norman, is a nice course. There are beautiful views of the vineyards as well as challenging holes in the hills. (Note: You do need to drive your golf up some of those challenging hills as well.). The club house is quite nice with an outdoor patio area.

Here is a venue that provides great wines, marvelous food, and exceptionalGolf. I have played the Wente Golf Course many times. I still am impressed by the views, the challenging holes, and the changing elevations that require skill and strategy to conquer. This course is not for the beginners. I played sunday on Mother's Day with a Ladies group of 20. Handicaps ranged from6 to 30 with a good pace of play. Course Marshall's were very present andhelped with pace of play. After golf, we all enjoyed great wine, food and a phenomenal sunset.

We got stuck behind four foursomes who were more than happy to play a 6 hour round of golf. Rangers were ineffective and only intervened when we complained. This helped for a couple of holes but then slowed up again. Gave up after 14 holes but got no sympathy in the pro-shop. For a fee of more than $100 I expect more at what should be an enjoyable and challenging course

We played this course twice now. Great course. There are some great views on the course. Be sure to take some pictures. We will play this course again.

This is one of the popular places among locals. They have all kinds of events... all the time. They have 2 locations within the wine country. Tesla and Arroyo.

This course is one of those with 13 good holes and 5 Stupid holes, For the expense, there are better values in the area.

My husband and I golfed here when it was 103 degrees in June! Other than the heat, it was a gorgeous course, most of the holes are on a hillside so a straight shot is definitely necessary to stay on the fairway. Some holes didn't suit my eye (felt like my only option was to aim at a bunker), but I shot my usual score so it was all good. Took a lot of pictures as the scenery was quite unique. Go to their website and you'll see what I mean... Marshals are very aware of pace of play and kept it flowing pretty smoothly.

Going to Napa Valley, CA, want to play golf? You must do Wente Vineyards Golf Course! It is THE best course in the Bay area. Better than Roddy Ranch, better than Eagle Vines. The views are awsome, the course is challenging. One of the things I like is there are elevated greens, hits over water, curves, sandtrappped, rolling green holes. Women's tee distance is 5637 yards. Mens is from 5637 to 7180 yards. It has a course rating of 74.5 and slope of 142 - for those who like that info. It is a bit pricey - for the area, so be sure and take advantage of any discounts, twilight, midweek, or senior discounts!. As an example, a course close by and close in ambiance and challenge has a twilight rate of $25 - after 5:00 pm. Wente's twilight rate is $55. Even with the price difference, I would play there at least once on my trip to Napa Valley. The experience is worth it!Oh, yes, if you like me have a double digit handicap, take a couple dozen golf balls!
