fort crook museum

We stopped there not expecting much and enjoyed it quite a bit. Clearly this is a museum of love assembled by a passionate bunch of people. Lots of cool stuff to see with the family. Old equipment, guns,Indian baskets, buildings. Old prison. Plenty of stuff to go through. Way worth the stop. The old school building is very cool and allows you to be transported in time.

It does not surpass Old Shasta, the historic ghost town but it is worth seeing. If you are going to Burney there are several great places along the way. The fishing is great if you like stream fishing.
