The view of this place is beautiful, the hike was interesting and fun, I would come here again. A really amazing expiriance
Best time is spring, everything green, ponds are full and snakes are still sleeping. Hiking was nice but very uneven ground. Wear good walking shoes .
I grew up camping here. Lots of great memories. Good place to bring the kids for hiking and camping. It's not a very remote place so you're close enough to town in case you need anything, but not too close. Just be aware of the cows wandering around.
I really enjoyed all the trails and paths. The park had very pretty views and the park is kept up well.
I love Rockville Hills Park! So many trails to choose from; gorgeous wildflowers in the spring; birds in the oak groves and by the lakes, and views galore. There's something to see in every season, but late winter and springtime, with the fresh green grassy slopes and fields of wildflowers, are something special. You can hike, mountain bike, picnic, or just relax and contemplate nature. It is a treasure, and so easy to reach. It can get hot in the summer and fall, and you'll want to arrive early to grab a parking space. There's a fee station at the parking lot--you can buy a day pass, group pass, or annual pass, if you're planning to come back. Can get busy on weekend afternoons, but mornings and early evening are lovely.
We saw an egret, a heron, a duck and baby, minnows and lots of squirrels. Many trails. Bike repair station with pump.
We decided to try out this park after seeing it on an evening drive through the area. There are easy, moderate and difficult trails. There is a map at the entrance that clearly labels the different trails. It would have been nice to have one to take with us as we hiked, but next time we'll just take a picture with our phone. We liked it so much that we came back in a couple of days with a picnic lunch and ate it once we reached the top. The only down side is that you have to pay to get in. There was a daily and a six month rate. Would love to have seen a one month rate.
Beautiful place to hike in the springtime when the grass is green. You'll wander amongst cows on this one, but they're pretty funny to see all over the place. Trails are easy to follow and there are some great views from the topmost section of the park. Parking space is limited and there's a fee to enter the park.
great hiking trails, very clean and natural. There is a lake and lots of climbing but well worth it when you see the views.
The climb is invigorating and the scenery is breathtaking...lake, rock formations and long views of Suisun Valley all the way out to San Pablo Bay. There's even a shallow cave that my grand daughters loved climbing into.
I love mountain biking here and going on hikes with my boys. It's not a huge park but it's beautiful.
Great hiking, particularly during the cooler months. Beautiful views, lots of wildlife. A wonderful park so close to the city.
Just off I80 but feels like it's out in the boonies. Not crowded, good views and walks that range from leisurely to challenging. Lots of mountain bikes on the weekends. Stop at the Valley Cafe afterwards and have a yummy lunch.
There's lots of different trails, and it is a wonderful place for a hike, not too busy & stunning views.
It's a long hike with not much to do. The ponds and view are nice but it was windy and cold.
