Stopped at the Rocking 7 Ranch on our way to the Harris Ranch Inn for our "beef fix". Had seen pictures posted of some of the different species at the ranch and thought we'd take a look. While not having an abundance of any one animal, they had alpacas, horses, Shetland pony, burros, pygmy goats and miniature pygmy goats, guinea fowl, several types of turkeys, bantam hens, pheasants and Indian Runner ducks, and I've probably forgot a couple. Most of the stock and birds are from their own breedings, and are raised organically, as are the garden crops and fruit trees they grow. The owners are quite knowledgeable about all their birds, including the best way to introduce new birds to minimize cannibalism, food conversion rates and organic growing techniques. Most of the stock is pettable, an attractant for young children. There was no charge, but donations are welcome. Depending on the time of the year you visit, you may leave with a clump of grapes, or a piece of produce from their garden
