They have typical sandwich/burger menu with some specials for the day. Beer available. The beautiful view of the golf course makes every meal special.

I golf all over Sacramento and out lying areas and AncilHoffman is one of my favorites. There is not a great dealof trouble if you can stay out of the trees, and the greens arefairly slow, which suits me best compared to other courses inthe area. There is lots of shade in the heat of the summer, andit is usually well maintained.

Nestled away from the local business and housing is a beautiful golf course. Sharing the grounds is a nature center and borders the American River. Ancil Hoffman has an abundance of trees that line every fairway which makes an errant ball pay the price. It is not uncommon to see baby fawns grazing along with full grown deer in the spring. Summer, spring , winter of fall you can't go wrong if you need a golf outing.

Nice and not overly challenging golf course. Despite being in the middle of winter, greens and fairways in very good shape. Agree with previous poster regarding the geese. Enough to feed Sac's homeless for a year. I nailed one off the fourth tee but thankfully didn't kill it. A surprisingly nice and large pro shop with plenty of deals. Plenty of practice areas too. Bar and bar food was good. Clean bathrooms. I walked the course and was not overly tired as the only hill is the one that goes up to the pro shop. Very reasonable rates!

This is a beautiful golf course in a serene setting. It is spoiled by the amount of ducks and geese that are living there. You can not walk on grass that doesn't have poop on it. The green's are the same. Can't go back to that mess again. Too bad the waterfowl have spoiled a great place to golf.

My favorite Municipal golf course in Sacramento. Greens are always slow, but one should expect that at a county owned golf course. Old trees make the course challenging.

Played in June 2010. Despite a tee time, pro shop instructed starter to put 2 groups in front of us right before our tee time. Course played in 4.5 hours although it seemed very slow. Marshall did ask one group to speed up after someone complained about them being behind.Course conditions were good for a muni and the price was right. You can definitely walk this course.
