camp pendleton marine base tour

Come visit and see what our men and women in the Marines are doing at this impressive facility. Everyone is very nice and will be very helpful.

This is a most valuable tour, and honors the brave young men and women who have trained here to develop the traits of honor, character and leadership that have exemplified Marines throughout history. And it was interesting to see the various commands that call this base home. I particularly enjoyed watching helicopter operations near the ocean....for sure practice makes perfect.Our nation is in great hands with these fine warriors!!

Loved the camp grnd. Sites were clean, a great view of the beach. I got to see new Young Marines practing to become well trained fighting Marines. HooRah

I was pleasantly surprised by how new and modern most of Camp Pendleton is. The base is much different than the military installations of my service days. The housing is as good as any civilian neighborhood and the service personnel can acquire needed furniture free of charge at a local distribution center.

We took a tour of this camp with a group and we are so glad we did. It was very interesting. You get to see the original ranch house where it all started back in the 1800's. Then a Marine Captain took us on a tour showing us the amphibious vehicles that are used in combat. We also got a demonstration using two of the tracking and attack dogs. We got to visit two museums that had many of the old vehicles that were used in previous conflicts. It is amazing to compare them to what they are currently using. We got to eat lunch in the officers quarters. The food and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It makes you proud to see these young men and women and what they do to protect our country.
