sarpy county museum

An excellent overview of the early history of the area. Has a dedicated group of volunteers who maintain it.

The guide was very knowledgeable; the layout and flow was different...it could definitely be updated to reflect the changes Sarpy County has faces over the last few decades.

We didn't realize this place existed. It's just off the main road thru downtown old Bellevue. It's not a very large place, but is well set out so you can see a lot of interesting things about the area without everything on top of each other. The staff was very friendly and willing to show us around the old train depot adjourning the museum building even tho it wasn't actually open.
