My granddaughter and I visit this park often. The playground equipment is perfect and always well maintained. The park is right beside the river and in the summer live music on the half shell is a nice family outing.
There are pavilions, open picnic area, river access, a locomotive, American Legion Baseball park.It is what you make of it.Always fun.
There is a river, a pavilion, restrooms, volleyball, baseball, oak forest, and much much more. Good place to walk dogs, too.
Local residents know it well. Great place to have a picnic. There is a very modern play ground for children (of all ages). The Umpqua river flows along side and is swimable. There are safe places for younger children. Also a running/jogging/walking/biking path that connects to down town.It would be a great stop on your journey North, South, East or West.
This is a great little stop to let the kids out of the car and burn off some energy. Good bathrooms and you can go down and look at the river.
This is a beautiful, peaceful park with a great path for walking, jogging or biking. There is a very nice pond with lots of waterfowl
This is a great park for all ages. Great playground for kids, baseball, soccer and a train to climb on. It even has small beaches that give you access to the Umpqua river. The walking, jogging, bike path is great and the dogs are more than welcome!
There are all types of things to do at the park. Place for the kids to play, frisbee golf, picnic area including a covered shelter, and of course the duck pond. I especially like the three mile paved loop trail for running and walking.
The city does a good job in maintaining this location. Nice walking trails. Play area for kids, and a locomotive that older kids can climb on. With access to the South Umpqua, Stewart Park is a great venue for then summer Music on the Halfshell concert series.
a beautiful place, right along the south umpqua river, equipped with nice playground equipment, plenty of picnic tables, shady spots, and even an old train engine the kids can actually climb on! plenty of lovely little walking trails and the nearby Frisbee golf range is wonderful. the only reason i dont give is a 5.... ive seen terrible goings on in the public restrooms.
We've visited this park a couple of times while visiting family in Roseburg. It has a great play structure, and a large covered area, complete with tables etc. Lots of grass for activities. Great place for children, both younger and older. Last time down, they even had a concert!
We enjoyed a lovely picnic at one of the covered pavillions. Everyone we encountered seemed to be enjoying the part. Good walking trails, great summer free concerts on Tuesday evenings. Great 9 hole golf course.
Stewart Park, The city here caters to Golfers, They have taken 90% of this once nice park and Shrunk it down to a level thats pretty much pathetic. They have improved the the kids play areas which is good but the park has lost its luster. You can drive around the park and see maintenance people standing around pretty much all the time, while weeds and garbage are around. The bathrooms resembled something you'd find in a third world country. This is my home town for over 20 years so I hate to come down so hard on this park. But its pretty bad.The golfers here rule the park, there is no smoking in Stewart Park, yet you can see old timers out on the green smoking and the police do nothing about it .Events in the park are worse, as every free loaders shoes up with their wifebeater t-shirts and sweats and bathrobes. Really ? Roseburg and this park has potential, but the people here do not care and if it has the word free Id avoid any events here. I avoid the area for the most part its just sub-par.Watch your purse and lock your car as homeless people are abound in this area.
Nice stadium including a covered portion with seat backs - we attended an American Legion triple A tournament
Great place for pretty much anybody! I find it to be quite beautiful place, and love that it's right on the Umpqua river. The play equipment looks awesome, and makes me want to play on it every time; even though I don't have kids. The train is neat to play on. If you like disk golf this is also the park for you. In the summer, they have Music on the Half Shell every Tuesday. Last week they had The Wailers playing. Great park! Definitely worth checking it out :)
