goble tavern

This place is NO turkey----fun place to stop on the way to Astoria. Cool old building, great deck and patio area out back. Full bar, lots of beer. They have live music on weekend. We stopped in for lunch. Our bartender was a cool dude. Good attitude, friendly and can rustle up a mean burger.Started with a couple of excellent bloody marys. Spicy and came with all the best veggies. Onions, olives and pickled green beans. I got the cheese burger with bacon. Upgraded to swiss cheese vs american. Burger was cooked well and it was tasty. Good fries too.Hubby got the special, a Patty melt. Also very tasty. The onions were caramelized and that made the sandwich so good.Stop in, enjoy a drink and a meal. Fun place!

This tavern is in beautiful downtown Goble Oregon. Don't blink as you drive by on Hwy 30, you might miss Goble. It's always a fun place to stop. Whether you want a Budweiser or a Bitter B*tch IPA. For being out in the middle of nowhere, they consistently have really good live bands on the weekends. They also have an outdoor stage, and a nice little park-like setting in the back, great when the weather's good. They also have a really decent hamburger too.
