I like the aquatic park. It's the only place to find a wave pool in the area. They have three waterslides, usually only 2 are open. Overall it doesn't seem as clean or kept up that well. Last visit the hot tub was barely luke warm, and looked very dirty all around the edges. I saw some green on stairs and around the edges of pools, which you shouldn't find in a public pool.
We were visiting my sister in Portland. My 8 year old son and nephew, and 10 year old niece had an awesome time. There is a nice sized wave pool, diving board, and huge slides. There are benches and tables to sit and watch, as well as an adults only hot tub in a central location so you can relax and watch the kids. The snack area is somewhat limited, but they do add a few healthy choices such as yogurt, fruit, and cheese sticks...alongside the chips, candy, and greasy food.
There really should be more places like this in Oregon, with all our rainy weather! This is one of the best indoor water park in Oregon, the best is the Evergreen Space Museum & Water Park (see my review) The North clackamas aquatic park has a huge wave pool, two big water slides and a short fast one, huge kiddie area, diving board and lap pool. Seats and tables for parents to watch, big changing rooms with showers. Watch for coupons in the mail. We always have an awesome time.
Good place for swimming. If you don't know how to swim its time you learned how. Several options for lessons and a variety of exercise classes in pool. Great full body work out and fun for the whole family.
This is a great community pool with a variety of options for families and kids of all ages to have a good time. The three water slides are a lot of fun and the line moves quickly (I think the longest I waited was about 10 minutes). They offer a diving board into a 13 foot pool and a wave pool with the deepest part being 7 feet deep. The hot tub is as it should be - hot - and is a nice break from the action of the wave pool and is very relaxing. The lifeguards are attentive and the staff keep the areas very clean. The changing areas are adequate with a lot of lockers (although they are small) which you can rent and the showers have great water pressure. I was hoping they would have a changing stall if you wanted privacy to change into your swimsuit that was separate from the toilets like I have seen at other aquatic centers but that is not the case here. My only complaint was they advertise that the water temperature is 86 F but the water seemed a little on the cool side in my opinion.Overall this is a great way to spend a few hours and burn some energy when it's raining outside and you and/or the kids are getting stir crazy.
My family of 4 ranging in ages of 3-22 came during the Christmas vacation. The entry line was out the door. Possibly more cashiers at opening time to expedite check in would be helpful. We arrived 10 minutes after opening, and waited in line for another 10 minutes. By the time I entered the spectator area, the seats were full. There were limited seats remaining on the bleachers. In the 4 hour period my family swam, a majority of the tables were unoccupied, however, they contained towels, bags, clothes, etc. Patrons should be required to store items in locker area so spectators can use seating.Spectator area is accessible by swimmers, so some seats and tables may be wet. There was no noticeable handicapped access seating area. As a spectator with orthotic issues, the only seating available to me was at the top of the bleachers. Not safe or convenient for handicapped people. The spectator area and lobby were clean, and staff were continually tidying after messy patrons. There were signs posted to clean eating area after using, however many failed to do so. In the time we were there I witnessed staff cleaning windows, floor, tables, chairs and bleachers.Staff were friendly.Wi-fi was available free and usable without issue.Pool areas were clean and well staffed. Lines for slides moved quickly.Rock climbing wall had long line and wait was long.Hot tub was for 18 and over, however I did see minors sitting in it. Would be nice to have a family use tub for patrons with younger children.Food was available, but we did not purchase it. Float tubes were available to rent. After the 4 hour session, I had a headache. Likely a combination of the noise and the strong chemical chlorine smell. An asthmatic family member had difficult time due to humidity and chlorine. Probably not anything that can be remedied, however other patrons with breathing difficulties might appreciate knowing this in advance. At end of session, was a turnover for another activity. Locker room and showers were crowded during this time. We would consider returning, however we don't live in the area, so likely won't return soon.
NCAP is a county pool. 3 pools so something for everyone (laps, diving and water fun) and great hot tub/whirlpool. Great aqua aerobics classes. A few "family/wheelchair" accessible private dressing rooms, other wise "open" and "public" (separate male, female, of course). Prices are reasonable with discounts for local residents. Water is sometimes too cool in the main lap pool
My grand kids had a very good time. My granddaughter is on a swim team, so she needed to keep up with her training while away from home(2 weeks). She was able to use the lap lanes and my grandsons enjoyed the pool and water slides. Very enjoyable experience for everyone.
There are so many different types of pools to select from. My grand kids had a ball. It was a hot day and a good way to spend it. The kids used their energy. I cooled off and the food was good.
Kids loved the wave pool. The slides were fun, but a little rough for our small children. The float pads were perfect for riding the waves!
If your kids are old enough drop them off and go shopping or out to lunch. Great life guards, clean, and the price is nice. They do a real nice job keeping your kids safe. We usually go 2-3 times a year.
This is a great water park and great place to host a birthday party or family fun day!! Reasonably priced. Call or go online to check for hours open!! Near the Clackamas Town Center!
This is a great in-door park for kids who love the water and when it is too cold for other places. It is a popular place!
Its an ideal place to go swimming in ALL the seasons in Oregon...Its indoor so you do not have to worry about temperature being too cold or too hot...The artificial waves captured the essence of the outdoor appeal. They have helpful and hardworking staffs so you do not have to spend your time worrying about your kids and just enjoy all the time...But if you still have some energy left after this activity then it is also close to shopping malls and food courts so you can still wander around and top off your day to the "extreme"...
This is my favorite indoor place for lap swimming because the temperature is cool but not too hot or cold. Also, I love having the long length of window along the pool side to brighten it up. During the aqua fitness classes they sometimes play loud music. usually 1-3 people per lane when I am there
