I really liked soak city. My family and I went and it has a lot to offer for all ages. My 6 year old son (at the time) had a lot of fun in the lazy river and in the kiddy areas. My 12 year old daughter had a lot of fun on the water slides and in the wave pool. The one thing I didn't like was in the wave pool, the concrete tore my toes up because it is so jagged, but in all we had a lot of fun.
I had a great time at the Soak City. I had ride and slide tickets from our booking at Cast Away Bay. It's very clean and lots of staff. Actually on the day that we went there, there where more staff than riders but that's just because it was overcast that day so allot of people left. The lazy river was relaxing but got burnt in the end. Although we had a very fun and exciting time as we entered Cedar Point and walled to Soak City, so we were dry by the end of the day.Although handicap accessible, it's quite large and can be very tiresome quick, a very relaxing night towards the end!
I Love Cedar Point Soak City I Because I The Best Waterpark & Food. I Love Soak City Waterpark For First Time Me and My Husband Kareem Davis Love Go There We Fun.
did not charge a seperate amount for a tube for the lazy river... they dont nickle and dime you like every other park.
We really love the lazy river here. There are 2 at soak city. Our favorite is twords the back of the park. Lots of water slides and water features for kids. There is even an adults only pool with a bar. Can spend many hours there having fun.
We always seemed to have to stand in a line to go on any of the rides which was quite a contrast to next door Cedar Point (we went at what they considered 'low season'). We'd definitely go back to Cedar Point but would probably give Soak City a miss.
We love Soak City as a family! Something for everyone! Whether you like to relax in the lazy river, splash in the wavepool, take some daring slides or let your little play in the water or sand, its all there. Very clean and lots of fun!
We love Soak City but I wish it wasn't so crowded all the time. Just recently I discovered the "adults only" area which has a shallow wading pool, hot tub, and swim up bar. This is a nice reprieve from all the crowds as there is usually very few people there. There are 3 fun kids areas and several body slides and tube slides. The feature of the park is the zoom flume which is a twisting ride down with a round tube that holds up to 4 people. The more weight in your tube the faster you go and more you fly up off of the sides, so recruit your plus-size friends and relatives to ride with you. There is a wave pool but it is so full of tubes and people it almost isn't much fun. My recommendation for those without kids or who want to avoid the crowds and long lines is to go later and plan to stay until close. Most of the families with young kids leave around 4pm so after that the lines and crowds die down.
As a platinum pass holder for Cedar Fair parks, I have been here on multiple occasions. This is a nice way to keep cool on a hot day. The slides are a lot of fun, albeit a lot of stairs to climb, but the lazy rivers are, by far, my favorite, just a nice place to relax and cool off. Don't forget to check out Bubbles Swim Up bar- they have seating both at the bar, and pub style tables in the pool. The view of the lake from there is breathtaking- makes you feel like you're in the tropics. Be sure to take a pair of inexpensive flip-flops, as the pavement gets very hot in this park
If you go to soak city, go on a Sunday or Wednesday like Cedar Point. If you go on a busy day, you will be standing in the sun getting baked. Soak City's last big upgrade was years ago and they are due for another one. If you haven't been there in years, the only new thing is Dragster H2O which is a mat racer. It's in the spot of the two racing slides that everyone loved because of the speed. There is two play areas for the kids to get use to the water if they are just getting into swimming. If you want to float in the water and get a tan, you have two lazy rivers to pick from.
There are so many play areas for children at this water park with each area offering different activities. There are also a bunch of water slides; two lazy rivers and two wave pools. My daughter is 6 (5 at the last time we were there) and she has a blast every time we go!
If you're traveling to go to Cedar Point, make sure to book a couple days so you can enjoy one of them at Soak City. They have a wide variety of water rides and it is a great time.
We visited Soak City in August. While we enjoyed the layout of the water park we were disappointed that many of the "ammenities" were closed. Things like the photo booth, many food booths, ice cream booth, hair beading etc. were all closed. This was surprising for a peak summer time period. We were disappointed because it took away from the experience. We also had trouble with our tickets being scanned and were held up at the entrance for 10-15 minutes while they checked on everything. We had purchased the dual tickets (amusement park and water park) and on the second day of our three day stay the system was saying that we had used up all our three entrances passes which was impossible because they had only been purchased the day before. Apparently this was a "system glitch" but it seemed to take too long to resolve. We feel that at the attendant could have written down all of our information and corrected the problem without making us wait around while they figured out the glitch. On the positive side, the water park was clean and the there were plenty of tables, chairs, and tubes. The park is spread out so it felt less crowded.
I thought there would be more rides here. An adequate water park but don't come here for that. There are lots of better ones. But a nice break from the main park on a warm day.
Great time at Soak City. Water was clear and not too hot/cold. We could spend all day in the lazy river. Loads of fun for such a regular ride. Love the racing water slide too. Our two year old loved the kids area.
