For a better funky, fun, walkable area, the small town of Yellow Springs is a quick 20-30 min druve; however, if time or transportation do not allow, then this is the best Dayton has to offer for a unique city neighborhood, tiny as it may be. Parking is a hassle on days with nice weather, and like most cities, don't tempt the parking overlords or a ticket will be yours. The Thai 9 restaurant is by far the best restaurant around and well worth the prices. Dress code is casual to sharp casual or date night attire. It is always busy, so arrive early or have reservations. Best parking for the entire area is behind this restaurant, but be sure to eat here if you park here. Very open, modern loft feel, with a good bit of noise when in full swing. Sushi bar - great!, tables of various sizes, full bar with exotic options, and outdoor patio seating. Perfect for date night or groups of all kinds. Wonderful food with a large variety of options.

The Oregon District in Dayton, Ohio is a mini, scaled down version of New York's West Village. It is trendy, funky, fun. The businesses are varied, interesting. In pleasant weather, the outdoor patios are full of trend-setters, music, a party atmosphere. There are some upscale restaurants also which are excellent. To pass an afternoon, or evening, I would recommend a walk through the Oregon District and visiting the businesses there, which are staffed with friendly, outgoing, helpful people. Just visit once and you will not be a stranger upon your return. Your name, your beverage, your face become parts of the scene.

This is a great place for an evening out. Lots of restaurants, bars, clubs, and even a brewery. There is usually some type of live entertainment at most of the bars or an event happening. Even has some interesting little shops.

Always something going on in the Oregon distrct. Get something to eat at the many restaurants and bars then get a drink and listen to one of the many music groups that play there.

Very nice area to enjoy the nightlife, bar scene, good food and downtown Dayton. Some interesting little shops with a wide variety of sundries.

Very pretty area of Dayton, a walking brochure would be a great help. The architecture, the colors, the plantings, all very nice; homey.

This is a surprisingly interesting and fun small part of old Dayton. Wonderful eclectic shops, bars and people watching. There are some really unusual people but wonder this area. I think it's still reasonably safe to be down there. There are wonderful restaurants which I had for joyed countless times.

The Oregon district was one of the first things that I noticed about downtown Dayton after taking a wrong turn. It was a nice discovery and I had to plan a return. There's numerous restaurant around the historic district, coupled with bars, a lounge, thrift store, church, coffee house, record store, antique and clothing shops. There's usually a couple of events going on in the area. It makes for a nice stroll and good times.

I love going to the Oregon District for a great meal and to visit the speciality shops. There is a great bar scene and most will have live music especially on the weekends. I never miss it at Christmas time because all of the houses are so beautifully decorated.

Took a walk to the district from my downtown Hotel. What a mixture of shops and such. A wild used Book Store, very nice hat shop, Tattoo Parlors, triple X shop, nice cafes, a huge Goodwill Store, a wild mixture of stuff! If you have time and nothing to do, take a stroll down to the District.

Mostly 18th century buildings redone in an eclectic mix of shops and eateries. The neighbour features great old architecture on properties that display proud looking 19th century homes and well groomed grounds.

Loved the shops and restaurants. Felt very safe walking there from my hotel. Would like to visit again when I am back in town on business.

Just a few blocks down from my hotel. I went here every night of my business trip. Bars and restaurants up and down this street for your pleasure. Please drink responsibly.
