This is a really nice place to bring the kids or grand kids.I take miy grand daughters here eavh time they are in towwn. They have a graet time
something for everyone here. great place to take the grandchildren not to small but you can be sure they will have a good time. The kids love the go carts! Then go and get some ice cream before you leave. What a fun afternoon.
Last year I bought season passes for myself, son and grandson just to have something to do on weekends when my 7 year old grandson would visit. I do not think I will purchase passes this year because if you want to ride the go-karts it is an additional $10 despite having a season pass. However, the attendants are friendly, the park is clean and their is a wide array of games and activities to satisfy everyone. This is one of the better park for kids in the area and it easy to find.
My boyfriend and I had always wanted to check out Swings-N-Things and after seeing it on Groupon, we couldn't pass it up. The Groupon deals are amazing so I would suggest you check it out if available. They have 2 puttputt courses and I think that both of them are very nice!!! The arcade was so fun, we even had a couple rounds of laser tag as we acted 20 years younger for the day! We didn't engage in any other activities but everyone that was looked like they were having a blast! I had a strawberry sundae and my boyfriend got a strawberry milkshake and we both were very surprised by how tasty they were! Such a fun time for all ages!!!
I'd like to start out by saying the idea of this paintball course is amazing. Shooting at the zombies with paintball guns is a great idea. BUT, the way Swings 'n Things executes this is done kind of poorly. Firstly, I'd like to start out by explaining why I said "beware" in the title of this review. The entire experience is about almost an hour. Notice why I said "the entire experience" rather than "riding on the bus and shooting the zombies"? I said it because about 90% of the "experience" is WAITING. Only about 10% of the experience is actually shooting the zombies on the bus! When you get there, you walk into the park, do your registration, and whatever. That counts as part of the "experience"! After that, you're lead into a tent where you wait for the other people scheduled for your set date. Again, this is part of the "experience"! After everyone shows up, you're lead to another tent when you do some more registering. After this, you're lead into the other side of the tent where they showcase some rules for the actual paintball. It seemed more like filler than actual rules. Plus, this also counted for the "experience". After the video, you're lead onto the actual bus. At this point, a solid 35-45 minutes have gone by. THIS is when the real experience begins, AND where another major problem starts. The actual experience is VERY SHORT. All that filler of registering and waiting makes the actual paintball shooting short! Firstly, however, I'll explain about what we did on the bus. We got on the bus, and we got situated. The bus took a good 5 minutes to get started, adding yet more filler. The instructor explained the rules, we tested the guns, etc. And yet, here's another problem. They give you 100 paintballs, but you barely use any of them(at least, we didn't)! There's only about 15-20 zombies on the entire course, and people are sometimes already shooting at them, so you don't use many of your paintballs. One person on our bus bought an extra 100 paintballs for 10$ which made me cringe. There's only one location you actually get to go on, and its this asylum thing, which is pretty much a row of rocks with zombies coming out behind them. After you pass by the first time, they do a refill, which is where this person got their extra 100 paintballs (which they probably didnt use). After that, you turn around and go back again, shooting more zombies. And guess what happens after that? You're done. No more. Nada. Zip. Zilch. You get off the bus and you go inside and get your card thing that you get while registering, and you're set off. That's the entire thing. Like I said at the beginning, this idea is golden. They could make TONS of money if they made it more technologically advanced (smoke machines, zombies coming from open graves, maybe eerie music playing in the background? Idk, just some advice) AND made the experience longer. It felt more like filler than actual fun. To be more optimistic, it's a decent time killer if you have nothing to do, but I personally would not recommend going to the Zombie Paintball Course if you're trying to have a nice family trip.
We have taken advantage of the summer daily pass on Groupon each summer. @$16 includes all day carts, laser tag, and mini golf. For the fall, Groupon offered $11 for the Zombie experience, which takes place on their paintball course. Having done other paintball bus tours, I was a little disappointed. But, the 3 boys I had with me had a good time. The whole process took one hour. There are two tents you go through before heading to the bus. I know it helps keep people moving but I felt it was a bit anticlimactic compared to the description..Once on the buses, it seemed like a 3 minute bus ride through the paintball village, turn around and go back through. I felt bad shooting the zombies as I felt they could feel every paintball and by that point, they had been hit for 5 hours. :) The staff was very friendly and the setting was great on a fall evening. I recommend making reservations. We ended up with a 1/5 hour wait time. We bought 100 tokens for the 3 boys to share and tried their "to die for" homemade ice cream. The best! Overall, it is a great family place but we only go with Groupon deals. I was surprised they allow smoking through the grounds....for a family place
This is a really nice park for young and old. The mini golf courses are beautiful and very well maintained. The go cart track is really fun! And there are a ton of other options as well. While this could get pricey for families (each activity is $7+ unless you buy a "pass"), it is well worth the money because it is so clean and well kept. My friends and I were impressed! We'll be back!
Great outdoor fun. Mini golf, go carts, go carts, bumper boats, laser tag and paint ball. Ice cream is delicious. They also had an arcade to take a break from the heat.
Well maintained, affordable, and fun! Nice that they have 2 different types of kart tracks, and the miniature golf courses are decked out! Bumper boats are a blast on a hot summer day too! Good fun for kids and adults.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. They had a kiddie go kart track for the beginners. Mini golf looked really fun also but we did not play. The green looked to be in good shape. Good assortment of arcade games and a big fun house for the kids. Also a cute icecream parlor.
We went there for a company picnic. Nice pavilion area and the food was good. The mini golf course was very nice, better than most mini golf courses that we've been to. The batting cages were a lot of fun, even I batted for a while, lots of fun. The go karts were a big hit and the game room was fun. The ONLY thing I could say about the game room is that about all games were $1.00 to play. These are just regular ol' arcade games, can't earn tickets or anything. I was hoping to see some cheaper games like 50 cents. We tried diligently to guide our boys out of that area. The workers at the counter where we got to the hot dogs and pop were very nice, even after my son spilled his drink. They've asked to go back again. We probably will make it a road trip for next summer.
Wonderful staff and amusement park. I understand that it is smaller then something like a Cedar Point. However, this location has laser tag, a game room, a kiddie room, awesome go-carts, Putt-Putt and batting cages. It's a great place to take the family or even a date.
We went for a company picnic and had our grandchildren with us. There is not much for little kids except a fast food like playground inside a building. Nice landscaping but some areas are a bit run down and so are the go karts - some are broken. Most of the employees are pleasant but the girl at the counter to check in children was very rude and sassy. Food for the picnic was good and service was efficient. I don't know about the prices because the company paid. There appears to be plenty of parking.
We bought an all day wristband for three teenagers. We got them online in advance so we saved $3 per kid, but it was still $80 for three. They loved riding the go karts and did it MANY times, getting off and right back on. They played a couple rounds of mini golf, rode the bumper boats once (more of a younger kid attraction) and play laser "tag" one time. They said the laser tag was not what they were expecting...more target shooting than tag. It was not a super busy day as it kept trying to rain. The food is pretty limited...ice cream and pizza. The batting cages were not included in the wristbands. We tried it out. If you are serious about batting, get an unlimited pass. We were there about 4 hours.
We got our tickets through Groupon for swings n things for half price in feb or march. Great value and well taken care grounds. We had plenty to do for about 12 hrs. They have excellent homemade ice cream and also pizza and hot dogs. There are a few places near by if you don't want that for a meal. The bumper boats needed repair but were a hit on a hot day and we all got soaked. The go carts were great also, fast but safe with many one seaters and about 6 two seater carts. They even had a rookie go cart track for our 9yr old. The put put courses are some of the nicest I've been to and they even had a free app to keep scores! There are 2 18 hole courses that are well kept and challenging. The games inside had old and new games and are reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and recommend this place for a day of fun. I hope management is able to upgrade the bumper boats and offer some healthy choices on their menu. So glad this is nearby and parking is free!
