I have been here twice and both times have had a great experience, the staff is very friendly and professional.Floating was a new experience for me but I wanted to try something new. It was very relaxing (I didn't have any problem with the cleanliness of the room, shower, or tank). It did take awhile to get used to being in the tank with door closed but it really isn't that small. On my next visit I got a massage (with Anthony, he was great!) and then a float. I found the combo of massage and float very relaxing. The location is a bit strange, being in residential neighborhood but good for them starting and maintaining a business in an obscure location.
I will agree that I was a bit skeptical upon pulling up to the establishment because it doesn't look like a typical business. It was set in a very residential sub-division type of area. When I walked in however, the staff was extremely friendly and engaging, offering me beverages. Noah took me through what I would need to do for the deprivation tank. It just wasn't for me. I was a bit taken aback about having to shower before. This is not because I don't see the value in doing so, but because I do not recall reading this anywhere. I would have brought flip flops or something. I really tried the tank, but it was way too hot in there for me and sweat and water kept dripping down my face. I would then touch my face (which is a big no no) and that water would run down my face or the salt water would get in my eye even if closed, and this is the worst burn in your eye you will ever feel. I would scoot to the side and blindly grab for the door and then blindly grab for the hand towel to wipe my face off. After a little over an hour (I purchased the 90 minute package from Groupon), I got out, having had to go to the door several times to use the towel. I also got so hot in there that I felt like I was going to be sick, so I had to open the door. Opening the door took away the deprivation bc then you can hear people. So not the experience I was hoping for, but I am still giving them 3 stars bc I have not tried their other options, such as massage. Also, the employees were wonderful. I will warn, however, that you could very well get water and salt in your ears which could build up for weeks. I'm not kidding, mine is just now going away I think I did the float a month ago. If the salt gets in your ears, they will hurt for days. I tried the ear plugs, but they kept slipping out. I won't do the flotation tank again, but at least I tried it, and the business wasn't bad :)
Upon pulling into the location it is a run down apartment complex. Very hesitantly I go inside, as I Purchased a groupon. Am greated by a friendly staff. Shown to a very dark room. Asked to take a shower first. In the shower was hair left over from another client. Very disgusting. After seeing the exterior of the building and then the shower there was no way I would climb into the salt water chamber, which you could not see into. With everything else being dirty I would never emerse my body in this questionable water chamber that you cant see. Before purchasing I would suggest checking it out FIRST. What a waste of money.
I also first saw this on trip advisor and then my daughter bought a package for me for Mother's Day. Very nice place and people working it. Angie gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever had! So relaxing, I actually became a little disoriented, but then it was off to float. Many different experiences with this.Much like the effect of meditation.I expected to be even more relaxed so I was surprised to feel extremely alert and energized after. And the effect it had on my joints and arthritis was amazing. Like being packed in Epsom salts only way more than you could ever do at home. They gave attention to every detail . It truly is a unique experience and I am looking to do it again soon. Very few of these spas in the whole country so people should take advantage that it is right here in Beevercreek.Thank you Lizard for a really wonderful Mothers Day gift!
I hadn't heard of floating until I saw Gravity Spa on trip adviser. I'm love trying new things and am thankful I decided to check this out. What an incredible, relaxing, unique experience!
