sugarloaf key bat tower

Have been in the Keys for 5 years and even stayed about 1 mile away but never visited. Found it while geocaching at the Tower. Interesting structure

Really cool structure. A must see in the Keys. Bring a camera for sure. Even better on a stormy day.

We like to take new visitors to the tower and have them guess what it is. Rarely can they, although my husband had an old friend visit that had a phd. In biology (who got his masters on batswhile studying in Guam.) He knew right away.

Not much to see but is interesting non-the-less. Gives another view of what life was like for the early settlers in the Keys. Everyone needs to stop at least Once while travelling the Keys!
