This place is gorgeous! It's a super place to relax, watch the fishermen, spot a manatee in the wild and relax in the sun. It's in walking distance to places to buy cool drinks and enjoy the day. Love it.
What a joke, I have been here at least 4 times since the corp starting work here, all I ever see is so called workers sit around, one girl has a job sitting with her dog watching the beach all day. The built a single wooded cross walk over their dreding hose, not thinking that a million people come here and there isn't enough room for someone in a wheel chair, why it is not wider is typical government thinking. It is sad but as they add sand, you can see it be washed back into the ocean, only cost 5 million or so, lets see if it lasts a year. Otherwise typical corp of engineer job, over spending, no accountabiltiy.
I have to brag, we have the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast of Florida. The Park on the oceanside at low tide is my favorite place to be, it is breathtaking, lots of beach to accomodate! Love it!
Facilities are very nice here, lots of trails, beautiful beach. I'd like it even more if it wasn't so much for entry. Not a place for people wanting to fish from the beach, though, due to the high numbers of surfers enjoying the backwash from the jetty.
fun to watch the wind surfers, and they enlightened us about aspects of the sport. Only $6 for the carload to get in, and good bathroom facilities.
It is such a pretty location the beach and the walk is awesome! if you go right around 6pm you can see the sunset it is very beautiful and it is a great place for a walk with your family or spouse. recommend it
This park has limited items for activities, Great for beach walking. Or surfing activites. The Hammock trail was disappointing but a nice short walk in the 'forest'.
Liked the activity and watching the kite surfers. Lots of people having fun on another sunny Florida day.
The beach we love to go to , very clean , Palm trees , clean rest rooms , they even have shaded picnic tables with grills if you get there early .
You have picnic tables, a long beach with big groups of 3-4 different kind of birds, and a bit inland the "Hammock trail", that can continue on the "Red Bay Run trail" that are quite pleasant, with interesting explanation of the plants of this "real Florida" area.
Ft. Pierce Inlet State Park is located on North Beach an captures both the inlet and the beach side. Visitors can camp at the park, picnic, fish in the inlet or off the beach or swim in the ocean. You can catch some sun on the inlet beaches but the currents are very swift so swimming is not recommended...you might end up where you didn't plan to! Surfers use the park and wave action is great depending on the conditions.
Sweet place and lovely walk. A quiet laid back place to hang out in the sun and watch seagulls, pelicans and just nothing......
This lovely park beckons you as you enter North Hutchinson Island. With Plenty of parking and a beach of almost 5 miles long it is uncluttered with people no matter how many come. Families, couples and singles come and enjoy the grass, the sand and the water. There are surfers, kite flyers , surf fisherman, families with little children, old people and many other groups here. Very popular on the weekend it is almost deserted during the week. Bring your own food in coolers as there are not facilites to purchase food unless you get it on the mainland or the convenience mart almost opposite the entrance. There is one restaurant there as well as is a gas station.
Beautiful! The Inlet Park has been renovated and is brightly colored, crisp & clean. A place the whole family can enjoy :-)
went for the fishing. manatees, snook, sharks tarpon... lots of fish being caught on a windy day but had great fun. bathrooms, dog friendly, benches grills. really nice all age friendly park. I would think parkin would be a challange in the summer not that many spots maybe 100.
