Just don't feel safe at the mall anymore. My mother had her wallet stolen out of her purse. It isn't as clean as it once was and I don't feel safe shopping there alone
Food court is always clean - the anchor stores are doing well. Lots of sales - and lots of kiosks for gifts!
When we first arrived in this area, this mall had an exciting variety of stores, a vibrant atmosphere enhanced by a center court with a fountain, interesting places to eat/snack, and a feeling of safety. Now, it just feels old. The fountain is long gone, the food court really can't compete with the other chain restaurants and fast food places just outside its doors, and it no longer feels as safe as it once did -- as emphasized by the clusting of cars by the entrances after dark. The bottom line is there are more appealing shopping alternatives just across the street and a couple of miles down the road. We go here only for items we cannot find elsewhere.
This mall is the biggest mall in the area. They have a pretty good food court and cafes. However, they need to have more variety tenants....
It's okay. To me, if you been to one mall, you have been to them all. It's about shopping!!! Parents run and hide your credit cards and checkbooks!!!!
This is our closest large mall, so we frequent it more than any others. Between the mall itself and the surrounding stores, it offers a nice variety of stores. However, the mall itself could use a little updating. The building has been around quite awhile and a bit of a facelift wouldn't hurt.
I come from an area with a smaller mall so this one was big compared to what I am used to. There were many stores to chose from for all different tastes. We visited on a Sunday evening so we were limited in time. I had the chance to go into several stores Torrid, Maurices, payless, Earthbound, Macy's, a sports store, and a few others. They all had a good selection with helpful, friendly staff. Food court was good as well but we didnt eat, just looked around to see what they had. If I was in the area again in the future I would visit here again for sure.
I love the shopping mall. Very convient to restaurants. Shipped at Macy's and Kay Jewelers. Bought a necklace and clothes. I would visit again.
This is a very good mall. It isnt the Galleria or Chesterfield Mall in the St. Louis area. But with that you also dont have the traffic or fighting the crowds that you have at the other places. It has a wide variety of store as well as places to eat. I think its a nice place to go and there are a lot of places to shop farther into Fairview Heights if you want to venture on down the road.
The mall is great- among the better in the region. However, the clusters of stores in the immediate surrounding neighborhood combined with less congestion that some other centers makes St. Clair Square my favorite.
I am glad this mall was as busy as it was the night I visited. That tells me the economy is still doing okay in that part of Illinois. The mall is packed with stores -- I couldn't find a single vacancy. That's also a sign that this mall has the right balance of stores in a great location. The mall caters to all price ranges, with a JCP for folks like myself and Dillard's and Macy's for folks looking for a bit more flare for a higher price. The only thing I did not like about this mall is that traffic is atrocious. Add the general human nature of mall shoppers (and how they will waste time looking for *the* closest parking spot possible) and the place is stressful getting in and out. But that's my only beef, which means the mall otherwise is a great place to shop. I highly recommend it over crossing the river into Missouri.
Right off the interstate with plenty of parking. Good selection of clothing stores anchored by major department stores, but not much for guys except a few sports stores and Sears. Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. Plenty of food to choose from.
This mall has a very good selection of stores for its location. They have 4 big department stores (Macy's, Dillard's, JC Penney, Sears) as well as many other common clothing shops. If you're on a hunt to find a particular item, chances are you will find it here!
Had a good day of shopping at St Clair Square. The food court has something for everyone. We found what we were shopping for and more! Love all the specialty shops in the middle of the mall. Looking forward to coming back soon
Not abandoned nor empty and that says alot. Dillards, JC Penney, Sears, boutique stores, We didn't cover the whole place but did have dinner at Olga's Kitchen - which was very pleasant.
