Several miles from interstates, state highways, and the hustle-bustle of city life is White Oak Vineyards. But the journey is worthwhile. The helpful German owners are passionate about their dogs, their laidback lifestyle, and their wines. During my recent visit I enjoyed tastings from several dry and semi-sweet reds plus a lovely holiday-style wine best served with chocolate.Light snacks are available, and occasional special meals such as Mexican night are served. But the wine makes the drive worthwhile.
