I can't remember where I read about this place, but people who drive from Vegas to Phoenix had mentioned it online. It really is just a shack in the middle of nowhere. The name sounded familiar and we needed a bathroom stop anyway so we pulled over. There isn't an awful lot there. Honey, jerky, some drinks and dried fruit. Anything liquid is out thanks to TSA and their regulations for carry-on. I bought some water and dried trail mix as I didn't want to use the washroom and not purchase anything. The washrooms worked. Clean? Maybe compared to some truck stops.

Pricey, but great quality. You get what you pay for. I can buy honey anywhere. But any time I travel to Las Vegas, about six or seven miles north of Kingman, AZ on Hwy. 93, I always make sure to stop there and stock up on their honey because it tastes SO much better than any others I've tried, and it's thick as can be. The beef jerky is expensive, but again, worth the price. I love the jalapeno flavor! Pay less, but get less. If you have a few extra bucks, rest assured, it's money well spent here. Small place, friendly workers, and clean bathrooms. It's always worth the time to stop. Samples available. Seasonal nuts and dried fruit. I guess they have drinks, too, but I've never bought any there. I'm just there for the honey and beef jerky. And, I will keep returning any time I get the chance.

I drive to a convention in Tempe, AZ every year. And every year, I see a sign for Gus's Really Good Fresh Jerky. So, this year I decided to stop and get some. The place is not fancy, however it is clean and the person working was very nice. Besides jerky, they have various olives, honeys and other items. The jerky selection is good, not great (I often go to Alien Fresh Jerky in Baker, CA, when driving to LA, and they have a much better selection). And there was some sticker shock. Jerky packs were $10 each for 3 oz, 3 for $27. Buffalo jerky was more expensive. Still, I wanted jerky, so I bought 3 packs. The taste was excellent for all 3 varieties. Very tender and flavorful. Honestly, some of the better jerky I've ever had. If only it was more reasonably priced. When I drive by next year, I haven't decided if I'll stop or not.
