sanap cliffs

I'm a local and I had never heard about Sanap Cliffs. One day I was just driving lazily around some of the less known roads and saw a sign leading to some cliffs I never heard about. I drove curiously towards them along some narrow winding rough roads along beautiful fields and ended up at the edge of Gozo.The views are breath taking and if you walk along them till the end (10min stroll) you can even see Xlendi Bay in the distance!A must see for photographers and nature lovers!

Brilliant place for a lovely stroll winter or summer..You can see over to Malta from here and watch the ferries come and go... You can walk to Xlendi, Munxar and Sannat from here as well or to here from any of the places just mentioned.

We called here during our tour of Gozo by jeep so did not spend a lot of time on the cliffs.They were most impressive and are possibly the most impressive cliffs on either Gozo or Malta.Not there at sunset though.

This is a beautiful spot to enjoy at sunset and also in winter time. Terrific belvedere along the cliffs which are probably the highest place in Gozo. Nice smooth pathways in good part of the cliffs. Hire segways if you are not fit enough to walk. Natural raw beauty without any amenities at all. Fantastic

Well, this is my favourite spot to take my wife, a bottle of wine & 2 pizzas & watch the sun go down.The view is, to say the least, majestic! Looking over Comino to Malta.The light on the cliffs takes on a beautiful orangy glow as the sun sets, just stunning.However, there is NOTHING there, no bars, restaurants, theme parks, hotels, pools, kiosks, toilets, beaches, discos nothing. You wouldn't like it. Leave this one to us 2 & find your own secret spot.OK, you can come, just you, noone else & don't tell anyone.You won't find it anyway. ;-)

Totally recommend this walk around Sanap cliffs. The coastal view is just spectacular and beautiful. It is quite an easy walk as the path is quite clear and easy to follow. One of my best experiences while visiting Gozo.

The Sannap cliffs are situated on the coastal side of Gozo's village of Sannat at one of the highest points on the island. The cliffs are magnificent especially at sunset and the walks around here are wonderful with views out into the sea and towards the Xlendi Bay. In the summer months the cliffs are great to explore early in the morning before the heat of the day becomes an issue and in the winter it is great to experience the sea in its various 'moods'.

Great views for a late afternoon walk though Id recommend going as the heat subsides. Some other residents enjoyed runnning to this location from Thirty Seven

Der Blick verschlägt einem den Atem!!! Unbedingt anschauen!!! Für sonnenempfindliche Personen empfiehlt sich ein Sonnenschirm bzw. geeignete Kleidung...KEIN natürlicher Schatten vorhanden!!!

Ci siamo andati in segway e abbiamo scoperto paesaggi assolutamente meravigliosi. Un'aspra vegetazione selvatica mediterranea incornicia incantevoli strapiombi sul mare. Da non perdere
