Go up the tower, you will love the view of the city from the top! Loads of history and lot of great artwork on the arches to keep you busy!

Skeptical at first, this was a highlight of Salamanca. The rooftop walks, interior views of the naves and the tower itself offer wonderful views close up as well as panoramic. Be ready for 200+ steps to the top up a winding narrow staircase

We spent nearly 5 weeks cycling around Spain, Salamanca was our favourite place and the Ieronimus was the highlight of this great city. Great that you were free to wander and to see two stunning churches from the rooftop and look down into two naves was, for me, a self-confessed church-visiting freak, amazing. My wife, long suffering was also impressed. This really is a 'must do'! The information areas were good too.

Forget this tour if you suffer from vertigo or can't handle steep steps. But for the rest, this is a must do experience as you climb and climb to get superb views over Salamanca. The explanations of how the tower was built, how it suffered fire and earthquake and a close-up look at the bells is quite enthralling.

If you only climb one bell tower ever it must be this one! So glad we went up. This must be the easiest and most leisurely climb to the top of a bell tower ever with a great one way system in place as you climb up to the bells (spoiled only by those who ignore it!). The views of Salamanca are unparalleled with several opportunities as you come outside the building. The visit also gives wonderful views of both the old and new cathedrals. It was pretty amazing to look across at the spires of both churches. You also get a bird's eye view of the interiors of both cathedrals and a very close up view of the damage and cracks caused by the Lisbon earthquake. Lots of photo opportunities. If you have limited time in Salamanca I would visit the bell tower rather than the cathedrals as you see so much more. There are some laminated cards in English giving some information on what you see, but there is far more information available in Spanish. Best improvement for the visit would be if audio guides were provided (or even these days if one could be downloaded from a website).

Went both in the day and again to the night visit. Both were good. If you can only do one and are there in summer(don't think they do it in winter) do the night visit. It cost 6 as opposed to 3.75 euros but is a guided tour with the cathedral lit up at night and music and an extremely passionate guide. If you don't speak Spanish they'll give you a handout explaining what the guide is saying, not sure what languages they have them in though, definitely English and Italian

I have seen a lot of cathedrals and climbed a lot of towers so I don't make a point of visiting every one in every city. I am so glad this one was recommended to us as it was one of best experiences I have had in a cathedral and specifically in the tower. It is not the highest, or most ornate or most historic. It is the way they have done the presentation, lighting and most importantly the music and displays. I sat in one room in the tower where music had been composed for the experience and was brought to tears it was so beautiful. Of course, the views of the city are incredible as one would expect. There was just something magical about this place that was different from so many you visit. I would highly recommend it.

I must say at first we were not convinced to take this climb. But now I think it would be a huge mistake if we skipped it. Ieronimus path brings you close to the cathedral roofs, gives a view to the cathedral interior and provides a pretty view to the old town of Salamanca. Not many visitors though - a real surprise for me. Nowadays normal entrance fee is 3.75 euros and 6 euros for the night visits. Highly recommended.

This is a great opportunity to have a different view over Salamanca, from the top of its towers. Great at sunset

It's the trip to the bell tower that this is all about. Great views of salamanca: ear deafening if the bells go off while you're up there! also a good traffic light system on the one way stairs of when you can go up or down; great idea.

reasonable entry price. very easy to climb with several stop off points. great view of the interior of the old cathedral. Very unique and modern system of getting you up the one way spiral staircase where you have a display wither in red or green indicating how many seconds till you can ascend/descend to avoid blockages. Great view of the Clerecía and the Rúa Mayor. Well worth the admission price.

We went to visit this place on a day that was windy! But it only made the whole visit even more unforgettable!Ieronimus is simple a must visit. The view from the top is amazing. The wind on the top was so strong at the time of our visit that one had to cling onto dear life at intervals but it was a great experience and added to the excitement! This place is a photographer's heaven. I lost count of how many photos I took and I am not even a professional photographer!Do take time to climb and visit this place!

Really enjoyed this attraction, the entrance fee was reasonable and there were laminated information cards in English and other common languages in most of the rooms. The views were nice and the bells were loud! We visited at noon on Saturday during Semana Santa and surprisingly there were no crowds and the visit was very leisurely. Highly recommended.

Salamanca is just stuffed full of wonderful places to visit but this was the highlight. As well as providing lots of information about the cathedrals, we were able to go out on to the roof, look down into both the old and new cathedrals from the walkway (trying to ignore the cracks in the walls and the fact that the balustrade was stapled together at one point.....) Excellent visit.

Stunning inside and outside views of the two cathedrals of Salamanca! The climb is manageable with stops for pictures and explanations all the way up to the bell tower. The vistas of the cathedral towers and the views of Salamanca are breathtaking. Truly a photographers dream. Enjoy the bells as you feel them resonate inside of you. Not to be missed!
