What an amazing experience and definitely worth a visit. The range of ocean life available for view and the quality of the setting is only surpassed by diving/snorkeling the seven seas for real...
Well worth a visit. The huge fishtank (one of the biggest in Europe) shows you a massive variety of marine life, passing by at 5 feet of your face.
Very nice aquarium. Many sorts of species. Kids will really love it. I thought it was larger though. It should take no more than two hours to see it all.
The Oceanario in Lisbon is quite amazing, even though it is always a bit sad to see animals in captivity. Many kids - they loved it.
Great way to spend hour. This tank is huge, biggest I ever seen, you can see different angle from different floors. Truly magnificent and fishes, birds and penguins looks very happy. You can tell they are well look after, in huge space and feel a bit freedom. Definitely worth the price we paid. I love this.
Huge assortment of fish etc saw different fish and sea creatures that I'd never heard of . Got awesome photos.
It is a crime to not visit the Oceanarium if you're visiting Lisbon for the first time. We absolutely enjoyed our visit. We were amazed by the diversity of the aquatic life! Totally recommended, specially if you have Kid.
I like my fish on a plate, thank you, so hadn't expected to enjoy this place. But it was simply amazing. My wife and I spent two hours here, and could happily have stayed much longer. On the outside, the building looks nothing special - inside, though, it's astonishing. The design is quite brilliant. For the most part the visitor walks round a single large central tank, but it's been so thoughtfully planned that it's more like seeing several dozen different habitats. I still can't work out why the sharks didn't eat the sea-otters...My one grumble is a minor one, but should be so obvious to the management: the shop has almost no guidebooks in English (or French, or Spanish), yet on the day we were there probably 95% of the visitors were from outside Portugal. This should be a no-brainer.
The central aquarium with its multiple viewing windows offers an otherworldly view. You are totally swept into the immensity and peace of the place. Amazing!
