We might have gone too late, but there were too many people running across the place, so that one did not get a good impression what the Cheese market is all about.

The market is very nice and lovely. I really enjoyed it. I recommend it. Don't forget your camera and a few euros for buying cheese, it's very tasty !!

The Gouda Cheese market is really fun. We parked in QPark and then walked less than 15 minutes. Gouda is very beautiful with quaint buildings and canals. There was a competition where you could guess the weight of about 8 cheeses together, and at 12h30 they were going to announce the winner. It appeared that we had won the cheese, 5 kilo! Wow, very nice price, and the cheese was really tasty, good quality.The cheese market in Gouda is every Thursday in season.

This lovely museum doesn't open until 12. It's €4.50 to go in and the guide is very helpfully, happily showing you the beautiful pieces in the museum and answering any questions that you have. It is only a small display but it has an interesting film to watch and some good taste tests as well. The building is the old cheese weigh house and doubles as the visitors centre as well.

We'd already been staying in Delft for several weeks when we decided to do a day trip to Gouda to see the Thursday Cheese Market. What a hoot. The cheese buyers and sellers are real characters and you get the sense that the hand slapping and banter associated with each transaction is true to the tradition that goes back hundreds of years. After enjoying the market, which you need to see well before noon, we wandered into the back streets and found them to be charming. Delft has a very nice charm, but it seems more sophisticated than that of Gouda and we were pleased to see people who are likely closer to the countryside. Before leaving, we purchased some very good Gouda (of several types) and have been enjoying it with wine in our hotel.

A must see and experience on your trip to Gouda, excellent tastings of different cheese and other items . Fresh fruit and bread! But you must go on Thursday!

The Gouda cheese market is open from the beginning of April until the end of August, and takes place every Thursday morning. It is situated in front of the Gouda City Hall and the Cheese weighing building (De Waag). Gouda is known for its Dutch cheese but it is not only cheese you will find at this market. Be sure to walk around the local crafts market and watch the craftsmen and women making wooden shoes, pipes and other artifacts. Enjoy the local "stroopwafel" (a special wafer), poffertjes and fresh fried fish. A lovely place to visit for old and young.

Wonderful spectacle in the summer months - check online for the event. Cheese selling at its best! All for fun! Worth going to Gouda - start early, get there before 11am so that you see the cheese market, some shoppping, coffee in cafe centraal, then visit Sint Janskirk.

Un palazzo che si ammira all'interno solamente dal bellissimo pavimento a listelli di mattone. C'è tutto di quello che è il meglio dell'area. quindi oltre al formaggio, anche le candele ed il resto.Merita sicuramente una visita.

Wil je in Gouda een gezellige dag hebben, dan kan de kaasmarkt met alles daar omheen zeker een aanrader zijn.Het is wel seizoen gebonden en op donderdag, momenteel niet meer. En dan even bij "Gewoon Gouds" iets eten en drinken, mijn ervaring heb ik al eerder gegeven over deze zaak.

Adorei conhecer o Gouda Kaasmarkt! Os queijos são vendidos no meio da praça como eram feitos antigamente, os vendedores explicam como a negociação funcionava e todos vestem roupas típicas! Esta feira só acontece às quintas-feiras e vale a pensa se programar para não perder este evento! Além disso, você pode degustar o verdadeiro queijo Gouda, uma delícia!

Wer in der nähe von Gouda ist, sollte hier auf jeden Fall den Käsemarkt besuchen, der immer Donnerstags (von April bis August) stattfindet. Hier feilschen die Händler um die Preise, der Käse wird zu der Waage gebracht und gewogen. Man sollte nicht versäumen, auch Käse zu kaufen, denn der ist viel besser als der, den es bei uns gibt!

Een gezellige, overzichtelijke markt in het centrum van Gouda. Meteen het mooie, markante stadshuis bezichtigen is een must. Lekker eten op een van de (verwarmde) terrassjes kan ik warm aanbevelen - zijn allemaal even goed. TIP! Ga even bij de VVV in de Waag langs, ze hebben onwijs gave stadswandelingen met gratis plattegrond. Kortom! Gouda is de moeite waard

Linda demais. O centro histórico nos transporta no tempo. Moinhos e lindos e pessoal local super simpáticos. Lojas com atendimento impecável, gentileza e boa vontade. Almoçamos em um restaurante de massas em volta da praça principal do centro histórico, delicioso, de massa somente era o único, mas outros em volta dessa praça.

Gouda è una delle tre cittadine olandesi per il Kaasmarkt, abbiamo visto parecchi anni fa quello di Edam e l'ho trovato più caratteristico
