We arrived on a Sat when there was also a marching band parade through the narrow streets along the canals. There is a strong sense of community in Delft and the flea market was composed of stalls with everything you can imagine and spread throughout the city. I would highly recommend Delft on a Sat.

A small market featuring fresh produce, clothes and small goods. Great way to meet the locals and score some fresh produce whilst travelling through this town.

Always nice to make a walk along the canals and see what is offered, but most items are totally uninteresting. KLM houses are sold for way to high prices and with strange romantic stories. How to warn tourists?

Delft isn't very far from Amsterdam and if you have time you must visit this town. Not only famous for the pottery, the town gives you serene experience of dutch lifestyle. Saturday flea market is for lucky ones like me who happened to visit there during the weekend. Fresh stroop waffle, delicious cheese in nice weather made the visit amazing and unforgettable.

There are a surprising number of stalls all along the streets of Delft on Saturday. We took advantage of the produce stalls to pick up some fruit, and the cheese stalls to buy some cheese ("It is all gouda, sir") to create a picnic lunch. One must take advantage of the herring vendors who clean and place fresh herring filets for you to enjoy, at terrific prices, with pickle and onion. You will get your fill of this Dutch favorite.Alongside these larger stalls are smaller, private vendors who sell a wide variety of items. We found it was best to stroll along and stop if something caught our eyes. Of course we purchased more than we should have but the bargains were just too good: for a Euro or two who can resist?

We liked everything except sometimes the weather but mostly architecture, transportation system, greennery centers, way of life,& the people of the country-ready to help, generous, hearty, intelligent.

A huge array of stalls with all kinds of interesting things to look at and buy. Enjoyed it very much - glad we were visiting on Saturday.

There is so much variety. Nothing to dislike as so many visitors will attest to. Great atmosphere. A lovelly old town, brought to life on Saturday Flee Market Day.

Ik was all very cheap, but very nice and cosy, however it was all pretty much of the same!!Royal Delft Blue, old silver, tiles , books and jewelry! But when you ar a tourist, you wil have a very pleasant trip to the Old Delft!!

While there is a lot of Delft Blue throughout the market, it still feels like a lot of other flea markets we've been to in Europe. We wouldn't recommend that you go out of your way for this, but it's pleasant if you happen to be around at the right time.

Whether you are desperate to exceed your luggage limit or simply wish to browse, the Delft Saturday market is a fabulous way to spend the day! Red and white market stalls adorn the edges of the canals in this most beautiful city. There is plenty to purchase or alternatively to photograph! My hint ... Every few steps just look up! The sights of the gables and overall historic architecture is a photographer's dream! The No1 tram from Den Haag drops you off at the the entrance of the Princenhof and the train station is similarly ideally located. Don't forget to pop into the city square (Markt) for more fabulous photos of the church and opposite city hall and a meal of pancakes and Holland's delicious coffee!

Make sure if you are going to visit delft you go on a Saturday when the flea market is in full swing. There really is something for everyone. The sellers are laid back so there is no 'hard sell' approach Definitely worth experiencing!

I think, the entire population of Delft comes out on the road on Saturday either as a stall owner at the market or as a customer to purchase a wide variety of things at a very affordable price. As a tourist, I enjoyed the festive atmosphere, the Dutch enthusiasm, the street food and bargain shopping experience.

What fun! All along the main canals are caches of antique dealers, flowers and lots of miscellaneous things. I myself, found a pair of antique ice skates for 35 Euros. Prices are very reasonable.
