So the wife and I are off and wanting to do something but we were scratching our heads, the wife then remembered our daughter had visited this attraction a while ago, 35 miles from home but it is a nonce drive so off we go,paid on arrival £6.50 each), were told would take around 3-4 hours to go around, one look at it and thought no way. Anyway 3 and a half hours later we leave, excellent value for money, lots to see/read and very interesting, half way through we went to the prisoners canteen for light refreshments and have to say the food we had reflected the name, but not to mind all in all a great day out.

History is continuos and has numerous ways of being presented, Eden Camp has the unique approach of being housed in POW camp. The exhibits are excellently well presented throughout the camp and have nice flow.This is No 1 attraction in Moulton but could easily hold it's own in a major city?Great for educating your children on 'The good old days' and ensuring they appreciate how cosy life is in the 21st Century.

Just the place to visit if you want to get a flavour of the 2nd World War. Lots to see, enough to keep you busy for the day. Good food in the NAFFI canteen too.

An insightful and unique look into the history of the World War, visited with two young boys who enjoyed seeing each hut and it's exhibits so much so that we went round twice! The play area at the end was a nice little added touch, the boys are already asking when they can return.Both learnt a great deal, with the sights, sounds and smells the boys were shown what it was like during the war, for the older one's it's a great insight into how life was being lived and how easy we have it now. Can't wait to revisit

Eden Camp is a fascinating place to visit and if you are a war buff or similar you will enjoy it, there are around 29 different huts mostly depicting the various wars through our history from the first world war and all the way up to suez. Most of the information is in written or documented form so there is a lot of reading to be done, however there are clever distractions like being in a submarine and being hit by a depth charge and the panic and chaos that ensues. It is as realistic as you can get it without getting wet. Although also very educational, I do feel that children may get bored reading all the time so best to visit three or four huts and then have a look at the armoured vehicles and guns and then visit a few more huts etc.There is a very pleasant naafi/mess room/cafe and although we only had a coffee and biscuitssome of the main meals looked nice and were reasonably priced.There is also a shop which has the usual array of key rings, pens, pencils and books.Overall well worth a visit.

very well laid out and informative, all the huts are numbered so makes the route easy to follow. some of the displays give you an idea what is was like in the blitz, smoke and smells. as well as huts there are military vehicles and planes. during our visit there was a fly past by a spitfire, its was low level just made the visit completeonly down side was the cost of food and drinks, take a flask and picnic

Great place to visit. I've wanted to go for years and now I have.Price is very reasonable and the food is reasonably priced too. We didnt have a meal, only a snack, but the food look really nice and you got plenty of it. It says to provide 3-4 hours to look round, but we were there for 5hrs and still didnt read everything. Personally, I think there was too much to read - so we only read what we were really interested in.I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that none of the sheds were set up as it would have been when it was a POW camp. There was one shed with a display showing what it would have been like, but I would have liked to witness the 'whole' thing and actually walk through one. Also I would have liked more information on the actual camp. Even though it has a play area for younger children, I dont think the museum is generally suited to them. All in all, for us it was very informative and very enjoyable. It was very cold, and very glad that we were dressed for the occasion.Would I go again? Yeah, I would.

Visited with my in laws as part of their Xmas present. Great day allot of time and effort put into the camp to make it enjoyable. Well worth the money. Would recommend for a day out

A fantastic, informative day out for both adults and children. Former prisoner of war camp comprising of huts containing everything war related. Fabulous value for money at £6.50 per adult with the added bonus of vouchers in a places to visit magazine offering £1 per person discount. Varied exhibitions/events going on in conjunction with main displays. Good facilities, including washrooms, canteen offering good food, picnic areas and ice cream shop. Gift shop well stocked with souvenirs at reasonable prices. Takes a couple of hours to get round the 29 huts and to stop off and photograph the military vehicles, tanks and aircraft outside. Plenty of free parking space. Altogether a great day out for everyone. Don't be put off by the war theme, there's lots to interest even those who wouldn't expect to enjoy it. This was our second visit and enough had changed to make it worthwhile re-visiting. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

A fantastic museum telling the different stories of war. It is well laid out with all the stories of life both in the services and at home. there are also the stories of the German and Italian Prisoners of war, my only problem was trying to get around it all in one day.There are plenty of vehicles and tanks around the site all adding to the atmosphere.For £6,50 entrance fee, and a great cafe on site it was a great day out.

I've visited this amazing place as a teacher with school parties and with my own family. I can't recommend it highly enough. Excellent value for money; a full day out; educational; interesting and emotional. The atmosphere is incredible. I never tire of visting Eden Camp.

Had a fantastic day here...well over 4 hours. Well set out and plenty to see and read. Cafe was spot on. Good all round day for young and old.

This was our second visit to Eden camp, on this occasion my daughter took her friend who is also studying GCSE history do this was a great fact finding experience for them. The exhibits are clear and give lots of information and a real feel for the period. My youngest daughter doesn't like a couple of the huts as too realistic and loud for her... Her exact words and she's 8... Must be good then eh??!!An enjoyable day out and fair price too. Wrap up warm if a cold rainy day as very open.

This is a very interesting museum, but there is really too much to read in one visit, especially in the winter when you get quite cold in the unheated huts. The exhibits gave a good impression of life in England during the second world war and amongst other things highlighted the many contributions of women to the war effort. It would have been good to receive a year's pass, as many other museums give you, so that you could return and read the rest of the material.Cafe was good with very reasonable prices A good day out.
