Took my family there during half term. It is part of the Brooklands museum, so there is a lot more to see. My son loves buses, and this was his chance to see what older buses are like. Starting with horse drawn buses, you see several around the museum, and one of them you can go on board, even upstairs. For the children, there is a separate drivers seat, with steering wheel, pedals, and gearstick so they can find out what it is like to be behind the wheel of a bus. It looked like there was a restaurant overlooking the museum at one time but that was closed down. The museum has a shop where you can buy a number of souvenirs, including minature buses, starting at a cost of £5. Afterwards you can take a trip on an old London bus for £1, it takes you round the museums and Mercedes World next door. It has a conductor who will sell tickets during the trip, so no queuing up for tickets like you have to for car trips.

The bus museum together with the automobile museum and airplane museum make this a very interesting place to visit and a wonderful day out.

Everybody has heard of the London Buses, but this is one of the places, you can go to see the old ones that had conductors on etc, great fun. If at Brooklands Make sure that these are on your list to visit. Paul Bennett.

An extensive collection of Busses in fantastic condition. The museum staff and volunteers are very welcoming and helpful and the exhibition is organised well. The exhibits start from horse drawn busses and extend through the years to busses which operated up to the 1960's and 70's. Look out for the bus being restored.

I only visited this as we had a ticket to Brooklands but to be fair it is worth a visit on its own. I'm by no means a bus enthusiast but even I could appreciate the effort that has gone in to making this a wonderful, informative, very well presented museum. Well worth a second visit.

I had read about this museum somewhere and happening to be within striking distance, went to find it yesterday. It takes some finding and is certainly poorly signposted both from the road and within the Brooklands site. The display of buses is a delight, backed by superb narrative panels. My friend and I were very fortunate to enjoy a detailed tour of the exhibits from one of the voluntary stewards, a fount of knowledge and good humour, with whom we were able to share our own experiences of travelling on London buses, trams and trolleybuses from the 1940's. For anyone with the faintest memory of these workhorses, or a particular interest in buses, this museum is a must - and very well worth the difficulty of finding it.

this is a great place a real hidden gem I'm not really in to busses but went in as it was part of my Brooklands ticket and after the disappoint of the motor museum I had the time to visit and wow It has a full range of buses with some still being restored and was good to see how time has improved the buses and all seem to run and drive A credit to the staff of the museumWell worth a visit shame you can only visit via Brooklands museum thoughI'd go back again

This is tucked away at the rear of the brooklands museum This little gem is a great place to see all aspects of buses from fully restored to one being restored and it's all in side a large tent like building A great place to visit I will be going back

The London Bus Museum at Brooklands is free to enter once you've paid your entry fee to the Brooklands Museum and we loved it. It's really interesting to see the different busses and how the development of the London bus happened. We all learned loads from the visit and enjoyed ourselves while it was also a handy place to hide from the rain!

A cool museum within the grounds of Brooklands. Choca full of buses from down the generations, lovely staff who were on hand to answer all sorts of questions.....and may let you jump on a bus or two. Great stuff!

Not too big, but features the whole story of the bus from horse drawn to the Routemaster. Plenty of vehicles to see, and very helpful guides who will tell you more if you need to find out anything.
