The park and ride service worked really well and considering the size of the crowd the food queues and prices were OK. We had a fabulous day out as the weather was good the racing was superb and to top it all Lewis Hamilton Won the race. We have already booked again for 2015.
Very good day out, varied activities, particularly skid pad & ice hill, enjoyed driving around race track with racing driver.
Bought a 3 day pass for me and a couple of mates for the F1 race.We stayed in copse e terrace and had a gr8 vantage point. It's very expensive especially compared to other tracks around the world. personally I enjoyed it a lot and so did my mates however I did find it a little difficult to follow strategies and other technical stuff whilst they happened in real time.Funnily enough the best day was Saturday, as we had unrestricted access to the main grandstand, the most expensive seats.Once in a lifetime thing due to price.
Saw the f1 British Grand Prix here and it is an amazing weekendIt is expensive but even if you only do it once in you lifetime, it is worth it.
Try to get the open ticket which is the cheapest and arrive at the track on race day early morning. Don't forget to buy camping chairs so you can choose your own vantage point. Gates open very early. We camped out and went to the track. Good toilet/ shower facilities.
I've been to Silverstone for track days, and to watch some races and it's fantastic for both. The money that has been spent to update the circuit has really made it a world class facility, and makes the likes of Spa-Fancorchamps look awful!
As a Formula ! fan I was delighted to get tickets for Silverstone for my birthday, and I was not disappointed!! Brilliant weekend from start to finish, we had a package with an hotel a bit away from the circuit and had a fantastic time, great atmosphere, well run and friendly staff, definitely want to go back with my teenage lads.
We won tickets to attend Silverstone on the first training day for the 2014 Grand Prix - AWESOME experience! Loved it!!
Booked my fiancé to have a skid pan experience as they a new driver and was it worth the money? I would say more than worth it plenty on time on track practicing expert tuition and one to one also. Now she feels more confident and happy about driving in winter conditions
I have used Silverstone several times for corporate events I was organizing for my major clients. The package they put together was excellent! They provided a full day of adrenalin based activities and a cracking gala dinner to finish. The staff are brilliant, shaping the day to match the needs and interests of my clients and every one I have taken there have been totally delighted with the experience. After each event I have been asked to arrange a repeat visit. Additionally I have taken my oldest son for an individual driving experience and the only complaint was "I want more". Silverstone is the 'Home of the British Grand Prix' and the home of a great day out.
Look forward to this event every year. It just keeps getting better. Always stay at Silverstone woodlands campsite for the whole weekend and can't fault it at all. This year we did the pit walk on the Thursday and hopefully this will become a regular option in the years to come. This is a well organised event with plenty to do as well as the racing. Live music and demonstrations every day at the circuit and plenty of choice for food and drink. At the campsite they too have loads of entertainment every night. In 2014 the campsite had a special guest ale attraction with a selection of bars selling beer from around the world as well as the ever present Petrol head pub. Great live music and a great selection of world wide food to choose from. Every F1 fan should do this weekend at least once. Roll on 2015.
Been here a number if times for f1 Grand Prix. Club corner Is where I sit at , in my opinion the best view of the track. Facilities are good here and loads of food courts around. Gets extremely hot during a race when the sun is out... Even if it's England.. Wear a hat for shade ;)
the whole experience was superb, thoroughly enjoyed it. the only disappointment was the car experience wasn't long enough
Couldn't wait to go for my track day. Arrived and I was very excited. Filled out the paperwork and paid for the insurance. Waited 40 minutes to go into the tutorial to be told that it was cancelled because of the rain. I know that this is no fault of their own but they must have known well in advance that it would be cancelled as it had been raining heavily for hours so the track was already flooded, but to keep me waiting 40 minutes just to tell me that was a complete waste of my time. A phone call beforehand or just to tell me as soon as I arrived wouldn't have been so bad. I will re-book my track day I just hope next time I have a better experience.
I've been to Silverstone several times for F1, BTCC and a few days ago, a track day.It really is a fabulous experience to drive around the actual F1 Grand Prix circuit and to service my car in the "hallowed ground" pit garages. It a great feeling to know that all of the famous racing drivers have been there too.All of the staff we met are great and of course it's perfectly organised.I'm not sure how many people will eat in the Paddock Cafe but it's worth noting that when we were there, the food was very expensive and of poor quality. I definitely would not buy another half plateful of dry and inedible curry for £8.50! Not good so avoid if possible. With the exception of this catering, the venue itself is indeed world class as you'd expect!
