We've been here a number of times now and it is absolutely brilliant. You really can spend a whole day here and for £14 it's a bargain. There are set shows every 90 minutes or so, with Vulture feeding, Peregrine Falcon, Black Kite, Eagles and Owl flying displays, a Duck race and all sorts of birds you might never of seen before. The cafe serves a decent range of reasonably priced food, and the whole place is safe for kids to run around in, collecting stamps of each species on view. This place is doing incredible work to raise money to help save endangered species around the world, and really deserves everyone's support! Discounted family tickets come up quite often on Groupon too.

This is a great venue for both young and old. The variety of birds to see was astonishing, the giant 'cages' many are in are so big that many of the birds have tremendous freedom without going out on free flight. For many the explanation about the birds habits is extremely interesting. Many good photos may be taken of the birds in their cages. However the highlight must be the flying demonstrations that take place several times a day. it was unfortunate that the day i went there was a freezing northerly wind coming straight into the seating area. The birds still performed and even at the end a wild red kite joined in with the black kites from the conservancy in showing why they are called 'kites'.In between the outdoor demonstrations I went to the restaurant to get a hot drink and bite to eat. This is relatively new with a good range of food and drinks (and it was warm). It was very clean and although not many visitors when I was there it can accomodate a large number of people. This was the fourth time I have visited over the years and each time the facilities, demonstrations and layout has improved.

Visited the Hawk Conservancy after years of intending to - and wasn't disappointed in the slightest.Spent the whole day (from 10.20am to 5.15pm) being wowed by the birds, enthusiastic staff and wonderful flying displays. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the restaurant is fairly priced and serves good food, and i was converted to really liking vultures! The charity is trying to bring the plight of the vulture - often a disliked bird, to the public`s attention and they do a great job of this. Without vulture numbers being increased, India and Africa will really have problems with the spread of disease. The king vulture has amazing colouring - we particularly liked the dreadlocks on the side of his face, the bald patch on the top of his head, and the ponytail! You have to see this to believe it! Lots to see and do all day. One tip would be to take lightweight binoculars, as they help you spot the tiny owls hidden at the back of aviaries, as well as the wild red kites (fantastic to see) during the demonstrations.A place we'll certainly return to when next in the area.

250 hawks, vultures, owls and other birds of prey to observe and learn about. The flying displays are varied and interesting. We handled and flew a variety of birds. The cafe offered reasonable food for lunch. A great day out for the family. Birds fly close to the crowd to add some excitement. This is very close to Stonehenge so you could do two things in one day if you like to pack in your days. About 20 minutes to the Hawks from Stonehenge.

Visited The Hawk Conservancy for the first time last Friday, and what a great day out it was.First Class Flying Displays but you need to duck every now and again otherwise one of the Birds might take your head off !!!Being a Photographer I came back home with loads of quality shots. Will definitely visit again.

i can honestly say, that was the best experience I've ever had at a wildlife park! Brilliant. The evening started with a lovely Beef Stew, chocolate brownie, and brief talk about the work done by the trust. Then it was out to the woodland arena for the first of two flying displays. Tawny Owls flying millimetres over your head! Then it's a torchlight walk round to see the Owls in their aviaries. Then the second flying display in the open arena with Barn Owls and a Snowy Owl stealing the show. The evening finished off with a chance to hold an Owl and get a few photos, and a tea or coffee to warm you up after two hours outside that just flys by. Really looking forward to going back in the daylight later in the year to watch the birds of pray. 10/10

We did the Half Day Bird of prey Experience which was amazing. It was thoroughly enjoyable and interesting and the time went very quickly. I am not a bird enthusiast but you do not need to be to have an amazing time. Our experience was led by James and Nick (who was a volunteer) who were both so passionate about the birds and extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. The group size was small and experience felt very personal and not rushed with enough time with each of the birds introduced. This was bought for me as a gift and it is probably one of the best presents I could have asked for. I will be looking into going back (in the summer) and seeing what other experiences they have to offer :) After the experience you are free to stay in the conservancy as long as you wish and watch the shows throughout the day.

I was bought a gift voucher for 'Owls by Moonlight' by my other half and I'm not sure how much she would have paid for it, but I know it would be worth every penny. It was a very cold evening, but that didn't stop the experience from being fantastic. The evening began with a small (but tasty) beef stew, followed by a gorgeous brownie, then a talk about the work done by the Trust. We then moved to the first arena, where we were treated to a superb display from the owls, who liked to fly in and amongst the crowd, so close that I even got clipped on the head by the wing of a Siberian eagle owl - which was something I enjoyed immensely. We then split into groups and got taught about a variety of owl species, by a very informative trainer who was clearly very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and helped make the evening even more entertaining. Following this, we moved to a second arena, where the meadow hunting owls were displayed, including the crowd pleasing barn and snowy owls. Finally, we had the opportunity to hold a tawny and barn owl before having hot drinks.I wholeheartedly enjoyed my evening there and would go back again this weekend if I could. I next intend to visit during the summer months for a daytime event.I would recommend this to anyone, as it is a unique experience that could be enjoyed by all. Beautiful surroundings, informative and enthusiastic staff and majestic birds. A truly wonderful experience.

We have visited The Hawk Conservancy on a number of occasions and always had a great visit. The staff are very passionate about the birds and their enthusiasm is infectious. We especially enjoyed the vulture display and the cafe is lovely for lunch.

It opens at 10am. First show at 11am. We were kept occupied and entertained by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. There were two more shows throughout the day, After this was watching wild birds being fed whilst we were in a hide. Even at 5pm we had a member of staff telling us about the birds. We were lucky enough to see a wild buzzard come down to feed and a red kite eat on the wing !. Thanks for your hard work. We look forward to returning.

Quite an expensive visit for what it is but very interesting visit you do need to stay all day as performances throughout the day change.

Not only do you get to see some of this country's and the world's most magnificent birds of prey, but you get to see them in action as well. It's a very friendly place with great facilities and the entertainment is top notch. You have to commend the great conservancy work they do to. Well worth the entry fee.

This is a well established conservation centre with excellent displays of flying birds and good facilities for the birds and their visitors. Feels their wings brush your hair as they fly from post to post.

We enjoyed a great day out . It was grandparents day for six adults and eight grandchildren. We took picnics, so other than an ice cream each it was a very affordable day out.

We have been to the conservancy a few times and found it most interesting every time The display of owls etc is very good and very well organised. It is very clean everywhere. We saw a mother and her disabled son enjoying everything. She commented how well it was for wheelchairs.
