grangemouth heritage trust

The trust holds a vast collection of photographs of Grangemouth from the past, including school photo's, past industries,old buildings and many, many more. It also has a large collection of artefacts from day's gone by which stirs old memories. One of the highlights of the visit was seeing the scale model of Grangemouth's Central Scotland Airport, which was used as a pilot training airfield during the second World War, only 2 hangers remain now used as storage units. The staff, all volunteers were very informative and helpful. Well worth a visit but be prepared to over stay your planned time.
