This little lovely church is clutched between high houses in the center of Bucaresti. You should see it in the night illuminated and then come back the next morning to fully appreciate the paintings and the wooden artifact. Absolutely to see.
This rather small church, considering the large dimensions of most Romanian churches, is an work of art. Although I've seen it many times, I always enjoy visiting it one more time. The paintings are breathtaking and so is the small interior court, especially in hot summer days.
Stavropoleos Monastery is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I've ever seen, placed exactly in the middle of the Old Town of Bucharest, the center of night life, full of clubs, pubs, restaurants, fun, parties, noise, love and anger. It's a piece of heaven, it's quiet and peaceful. I don't miss it when I go in that area. The monastery ensemble consist in a small beautiful church in byzantine style and an U shape building for the nuns with a small court with many artefacts. I love it and all the foreigners I drove there have fallen in love with it.
When God inspire artist soul and hand, result an cosy and charmant place, where your thoughts and heart meet the religious inspiration...
in the historic center, one of the oldest churches in the city surrounded by a nice little cloister. Beautiful paintings on the outside, very charming.
On the edge of the old town, this tiny but lavishly decorated orthodox church is fascinating both outside and inside. Make sure you get to it!
It's one of the most beautiful buildings in Bucharest, a very quiet place, perfect for meditation and nuns are very happy to tell you about the history of the building
This little beauty is situated in the center of the old city, in the (of course) Stravapoleos Street. It's a very small serene little church with a little inner court next to it, very nicely decorated but sadly enough a little overshadowed by it's neighboring larger buildings.
This is Bucharest’s oldest church and therefore upholds a lot of value in terms of history. But what impressed me the fact was its well placed location. Midst every chaos of the street, this place stands as an excellent relief and tranquil spot. The church looks amazing and even in its small size has works and history that will truly make your jaw drop. The location is just near to the Caru cu Bere
This church Is among very few well kept jewlery in the cityMost of the old churches has been demolished or moved in the comunist timesGreek orthodox church, great preserved, nice located in the old cityEspecially in the summer time is a must to visit!
Actually a monastery, it is a small spiritual island in the historical center (at the eastern end of the Museum of National History of Romania) and a jewel of the Romanian "Brancovenesc style" from the first years of the 18th century. The inn and the annexes were demolished at the end of the 19th century. It worth at least a few minutes stop on your walks through the historical center.
A very small and old ortodox church that is still functioning. Here, you can find a little bit of peace listening to the Sunday ceremony.
it is like an oasis of peace in the middle of bucharest.very pacefull, a good retire from the heat during summer and also for for your soul :D
Just another romanian architecture orthodox church, more known for the fact that the local priest is a big supporter of monarchy. Plus you can say you saw a Bucharest attraction and then hop over 100 yds and get to the Carul cu Bere!
One of the oldest churches in Bucharest, two minutes walking from Caru cu Bere restaurant, CEC building and just behind the Romanian National History Museum. Handmade paintings and chandeliers.
