Lipscani, is the name of the road but also the Old town. Here you will find antiques, modern bars and many different kinds of restaurants and shops. You just have to stroll up or down, turn right and left...and enjoy. We interesting and relaxing.
Located in the centre of Bucharest,in the Old Town , this is a nice area where you can hangout with friends. During the weekend the area is very crowded by the people who wanna have fun. Large variety of restaurants , pubs and clubs.
This is the oldest commercial street in Bucharest, it has plenty of building of historical value, souvenir and handcraft shops and lots of restaurants and bars. Towards Victoriei Avenue, you will see the monumental Bank of Romania on the left side.
I find it tries too hard to be hip and offers poor attractions. It was much "cooler" when the glass blowers were still there and the place was authentic-the restaurants are not very appealing on the whole and the entire locations seems seedy and dirty, besides numerous buildings that look hazardous.
Most famous from the Old Center. Many bars and boutiques with nice clothes, hand made usually............................................
The old town area is well worth a visit, largely pedestrianised with plenty of interesting old buildings, lots of shops, bars and restaurants and a generally good atmosphere. It's nice to get away from the heavy traffic and chaotic parking which exists throughout the rest of the city.
This area is full of clubs and pubs. If you want to explore the old town, better do it during the week because in weekend you can`t even walk because of the crowd.
One of the oldest streets in Bucharest, it is part of the zone named Centrul Vechi. Neglected for almost 20 years, it was recently re-discovered and rebuilt. It is mainly a commercial street, with small and cozy shops, cafe's, pubs. The buildings, almost decayed, were refurbished with the aim of keeping the old style, of more than a century. They are still working on it, you can see that passing through. All the streets around passed through the same process, forming now the most visited part of the city.
all the nice resturants and caffes. it was through renovations when i was there so it is probebly more fun now. also tthe to shop for suvenires
I'm not sure if it's the recent economic downturn but there are lots of empty buildings and shops in the area. There are some gorgeous old buildings but a fair number are crumbling wrecks. One part of the area is clearly devoted to pubs and clubs but there are also several excellent restaurants and wine bars. There are also some terrible tourist trap restaurants - so read up first. Interesting part of town and you're likely to be there at some point anyway.
This area is full of clubs and pubs. During the day pretty normal, full of tourists, you can enjoy at a terrace and have a drink, but during the night this is the most famous party are in town.
Beautiful old architecture, bunch of restaurants and terrasses during the day and enormous amount of bars and clubs for the night. A must see. Have fun ;)
a nice place to hangout to get a taste of everything ( yes everything) of Bucharest . is open till late - a street of pubs restaurants and people of course - one for everyone
Explore the Old Town, well worth the effort. Watch out for police patrolling on Segways! If you are an architecture buff, make sure you look in the little side streets, a lot of the "social realist" rubbish, hides some real gems/
It is the best street in the old town! so much to see and do. good for a scenic walk, good for disco, good for food! and great for a drink. safe and friendly =]
