I've been here a couple of times. It has a great bicycle route through the woods. Also an adventure park and a few restaurants. The natural area is amazing.
A great place to spend time with kids, friends and to experience outdoor activities. Unfortunately the last time we went there it was incredibly crowded. You had to program yourself for tree routes. the restaurants were overlouded, you had to spend 2 hours for a meal. I think that it is better except week-endsFinding the place is another adventure, but so is everything else in Romania :)
Unique in Europe, being considerate the second Delta of Romania after the Danube Delta. Is the largest protected area in south of Romania- 25000 ha.Have restaurants, different attractions and is great for spending nice quality time with family and friends.
Private park with different attractions like tree climbing, archery, fishing, kayak canoe, birds watching in the Neajlov reservation.Pros:1. Free entrance2. Different attractions3. Three restaurants4. Parking areas5. 4**** Hotel6. Relatively close from BucharestCons:1. Very crowded ,sometime.2. High price in restaurants
We took a hour drive from Bucharest to Comana on a weekend. The natural scenery is beautiful and you can snap some cool pics. There are some activities: rent a boat, fishing, horse riding, carriage ride and an adventure park but they don't take advantage of the specific of the place. We were disappointed because we couldn't rent a boat to go through the delta, you can just go on a small lake. The part that can be visited by foot is quite small (half an hour walk). We ate at a restaurant there, the food was not that special but the prices were quite high.
Interesting place about and hour south of Bucharest.Great for families. You can rent a kayak or row boat or try the obstacle course.Plenty of picnic tables so you can bring your lunch. There are also two restaurants on the waterfront.
Coming from Greece, one nice morning we passed through Comana. I will not spoke to you about the COMANA Monastery ( very impressive also ) and I mentioned only the places. We were a large and very tired group coming from Meteora by car, and staff from restaurant was extremely attentive with us and give us very good meal. The environment was fresh and attractive, a lot of vegetation, "pieces" of forest, suitable for warm days of summer, with places especially arranged with accessories for team buildings - hei, companies and firms, pay attention at this area for your employees! A nice place to visit in week-end with family.
The Comana Nature Park is known as "The Little Danube Delta" because of the big number of animal and plant species. The place is indeed, beautiful, but is not well maintained (the wood bridge it's from Ceausescu era and you should be very careful if you don't wat to fall into water), full of garbage and if you're going there during summer Sundays or during the holidays, you will be intoxicated by the big number of visitors that are at a barbeque and destroying the nature.
