Best thing to see in Sneem, soo many animals, lovely people and scenery, definitively worth seeing if you're in the neighborhood!

This attraction is a labour of love by the owners. I have seen it germinate, grow and blossom into what is today a rural theme park. The attraction is good for adults and good for kids and is very hands on and interactive. Animals close up, doing interesting things, just being in a haven created by Ziggy and his wife.If you are in the area, immerse yourself in the experience. There are no negatives.

What a thrill to return here again, this time with 10 children in tow for my sons 9th birthday. The children aged from 5 to 11 and everyone loved it including the adults. This would also be great for a hen activity. This is our third time here & it has improved every time, everyone was shattered afterwards as well as full from the butter & scones they made & ate and they all made a candle & all included in the entrance fee! You can tell the Yvonne & ziggy both work very hard & love what they do & take great care for their animals. I can't recommend this place high enough for any age group!!

This farm is in a most beautiful setting. As to walk up the path you are not prepared for the lovely scene that greets you below with blueberry bushes, mature trees, a lovely pond and stream and a farm alive with animals and fowl of all kinds. Yvonne showed us around and we learned so much in the short time we were there Well done for this great initiative!

We've just had a wonderful afternoon at blueberry hill farm with our three year old daughter in glorious sunshine. Ziggy the farmer was so welcoming and friendly. We all got to enjoy the fabulous experience of being hands on with the goats, calves, pigs & piglets, Orla the cow, Sean the sheep, huge rabbits and a great range of poultry. We also got to taste some just picked blueberries and made candles at the end of our tour. 2hrs of pure enjoyment with lots of photos and great memories. Thank you very much Ziggy.

Blueberry Hill is without doubt the most child friendly farm you could bring your family to. The owners deserve credit for the way they manage their farm in a considerate and eco friendly way. Because the atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly, adults will love the farm too. Yvonne is so child friendly and confident, and so authentic about what they are doing on the farm that it doesn't feel like a commercial enterprise in any respect. We spent 2 1/2 hrs on the farm and it went by oh so quickly. Our toddler had the highlight of the holiday. His parents did too :-) If this farm was based in Killarney or somewhere more populous it would be the no.1 attraction in Kerry. But being so off the beaten track and so natural is perhaps part of the appeal. If you are planning to do the ring of Kerry and have children with you, plan in a visit to Blueberry Hill Farm. It will turn a normal holiday into one with priceless memories.

Had a fantastic afternoon at the blueberry hill farm. Our 2.5 year old absolutely loved it. She especially loved feeding all the animals and sitting on the cow! It has been the highlight of our holiday! Making the candles at the end was the icing on the cake, really nice thing to do and great to have a keepsake from the day. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to everybody! It's a really relaxed and special place. We will be back next time we are in sneem. Thanks blueberry hill for giving us a very memorable day.

My family spent a week in Sneem in August 2014 and saw many of the local attractions. Without doubt, Blueberry Hill farm was the best and it's the one my children (Ages 11 and 7) still speak about.Unlike most open farm's I have been to (Odds Farm park for example), this one isn't just a wander-about at will type of place. The hosts take in small groups and guide them around various parts of the farm where the children get a chance to feed pigs & chickens, give milk to calves, ride a cow (yep - actually sit on a cow....I hadn't seen that before), make multi-coloured candles and then make their own butter for the scones and coffee meal they serve in the cafe at the end.The two owners, Yvonne & Sigi are extremely friendly and (like the other reviewers say) take great efforts to learn every child's name and directly involve them. I also liked the fact that you pay once and everything is included....It's not one of those places where you have to pay for each cup of feed you want to give the animals. There's a lot to do and our visit was about 4 hours long.Wholeheartedly recommended!

I can only wholeheartedly agree with every previous reviewer here! Yvonne & Sigi make it their business to know the kids names. Kids are all involved feeding the pigs, sheep, goats, fowl, & rabbits (huge!!!) Also demonstration on how to manually milk a cow. Made butter, scones, candles in a totally relaxing, inviting environment. Definitely a highlight of our hols this year. 2 tours, book in advance. Suits both older & younger kids. Price might seem steep initially but after spending a few hours here, it is well worth it. Different to other pet farms, very inclusive, hands on experience. Even adults can learn something from it!

What a place. From the start Ziggy (The Farmer) made everyone so welcome, the kids really and I mean really enjoyed it here. Ziggy was great with the kids and made sure that they all participated in everything. My kids said that it was one of the best things they had done over the holidays. Go visit if you are in the area and remember book in advance.

If you are anywhere near sneem with kids then you have to book a trip here. We spent three and a half hours there yesterday and it is the best kids attraction we have been to. So friendly and interactive. Am not going to detail it, just make sure you don't miss it

Visited Blueberry Hill Farm today. Thought it was going to be a standard farm experience. How wrong was I. Amazing day out for the kids. Totally hands on, feeding, petting and learning all about the animals. Also making butter, scones, candles and sitting down to a hot cuppa and the fruits of the kids labour - hot scones, butter and jam. Kids loved it. Two boys 7 and 5. Enthralled and quiet for a change! A must for families. Hours of fun and education. Brilliant.

I would highly recommend a trip to blueberry hill farm. It's much more interactive and enjoyable than the standard petting farm trip. My children (almost 6 and almost 2) enjoyed it - especially my eldest who has seen plenty of farms in her day. The children get to feed animals, collect eggs, make butter and make their own scones - and make candles while they are cooking. 3 hours flies by. It's a fantastic morning or afternoon to spend with the kids and the kind, knowledgable hosts.

we called in here just over a week ago to meet 2 inspired individuals running what must be one of the best hands on experiences for children in the country in its class. Yvonne and Sigi have put and interesting quarter of a century behind them and you just know that they have no regrets whatsoever. we have 2 girls aged 12 and 7, fond of animals for sure and this place was right up their alley, fond of baking so this part of the tour suited them aswell, the candle making was unchartered territory for them and they loved it, they made their own souvenirs, no tacky merchandise here which was consistent with the character of the place.Big turkeys, small chickens, giddy goats, rummaging boars, bunnies like you have never seen and more, we were there for nearly 4 hours and don't know where it wentbest of luck to our hosts for the future and thanks for a safe and fun day outregardsNorth Kerry contingent

We booked on the basis of other reviews on tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed. 60 euros for 2 adults and 3 children for 3 hours of farm fun.My children are aged 6, 4, 1 years, and had a great time. You need to book, times are normally 10am, 3pm, as the owners take around small groups at a time. The kids were able to feed pigs, goats, chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, collect eggs, even sit on a cow!!Once all the animal feeding and holding was done, they then went into the kitchen to make butter, and scones, and got really messy - they loved it. While they cooked, they then went off to make candles. We then all were able to sit and eat the scones. When you hear how the farm started, and the effort the guys have made to make this a self sustainable farm as much as possible, you really appreciate it. If your near Sneem, make the effort for this farm visit, best we have been on, and owners were great to.Thanks!
