Could develop more activities to make the experience more fun for children (but not only). A must see in the area.

Delightful grounds, no crowds! Brissac is a pretty town, try to visit on market day. We spent a couple of hours wandering round the lovely grounds, the old stables and the lakes. Didn't go inside but hear its very nice.

Been there with my kids, we have an excellent guide, know well the family and the history of the place. You can give him any question around the place !Just he did almost all tour by french when almost peoples was foreigners!

7 stories tall, 204 rooms the Chateau de Brissac is my favorite. Acquired in 1502 by René de Cossé, the first seigneur de Brissac it has remained in the family ever since.The current duc was on hand to show us the rooms including the bedroom where Louis XIII slept during a visit in 1620 and a private Opera “House” that can seat 200.I will be back, perhaps to live one night like a king in one of the guest rooms that is available for 390 euros per night, breakfast included.Our visit concluded with a visit to the wine cellar where the duke gifted us a bottle of the chateau’s wines. My choice was an Anjou Village Brissac– Deep, strong and often dark ruby red appearance. Dominating mellow aromas of licorice and black fruits, veering to leathery and earthy undergrowth. Fine tannic body on the palate, combined with true finesse.As the charming Duke escorted us to our waiting bus I could only echo the comment recently made to him by a visiting American: “Duke, you’re alright for royalty.”

Nice touches to engage the kids by finding the children's toys left by the previous occupants. And the girls loved running on the expansive lawn.

I don't even want to get a foot in this restaurant knowing that the owner torture cats, and moreover he boasts about it ! Employees have found a cat in a cage, burned with caustic ! You have to boycott this restaurant, I really hope it will sink and close !!

A superb castle (the highest in France) with nice gardens. You can visit the inside (guided tour only) or you can visit only the gardens for 5 euros. A full visit and a tour in the gardens will take a couple of hours. The village is also worth a visit - particularly on a market day (Thursday).

C'est certainement une visite à ne pas manquer !Le château est splendide, son contenu est sublime !Le guide qui nous a reçu était vraiment exceptionnel, nous avons beaucoup appris.Bref, c'était très, très intéressant.Je recommande cette visite sans aucune hésitation.Allez-y, vous ne serez pas déçu !

L'impatto visivo è forte, in quanto si erge su una collinetta, e spicca da ogni lato; lo si può osservare da diverse angolazioni percorrendo i vari sentieri proposti, di differente lunghezza e durata, che attraversano il parco del castello. E' evidente che l'attuale costruzione è stata ricavata da una precedente fortezza, nel tentativo di renderla più nobile e vivibile: il risultato è un castello privato, tra i più alti di Francia, con 204 stanze di cui 15 visitabili con tour orario in lingua francese o inglese. Consiglio sia il tour esterno (dalla collinetta che porta al mausoleo ed alle vigne sono particolari gli scorci fotografici) che interno (vi verrà dato anche un opuscolo in italiano); non dimenticate anche una visita alle cantine con degustazione compresa nel biglietto (10 euro): i rosè sono vivaci ed apprezzabili

Associé marché de Noël et château est une très belle idée. Très beau château ,toujours en rénovation ce qui fait a l'heure d'aujourd'hui un patrimoine exceptionnel ,une famille noble dans tous les sens du terme.continuez !

Nous sommes allé au marche de Noël a brissac génial les châtelains de ce château ont fait de ce weekend end la magie de Noël nos petits enfants ont été contents de leurs journée photo avec le père Noël tour en calèche château à l intérieur super décorer sapins dans tous les pièces du château stands du marche de Noël spectacle de magie pour les enfants bonbons donner par cendrillon bravo pour cette journée ils ont fêté les 20 ans de leur marché de Noël et ben continuer comme ça tous les ans beaucoup de châteaux devrait faire la même chose

C'est un château très intéressant, le plus haut de France. Une authenticité avec son ameublement, ses tapisseries d'époque, enfin toute son histoire. A VOIR ABSOLUMENT

De passage dans ce secteur, nous avons pris le temps de visiter ce château qui est superbe. Nous avons pu apprécier un guide qui est un vrai passionné et qui nous a permis de refaire un peu d'histoire. C'était superbe. Un petit mot pour la propriétaire des lieux qui est très agréable. A noter qu'un marché de noël est organisé en fin d'année et je pense que le cadre s'y prête bien.

trés beau chateau!!! chargé d'histoire !! la personne qui s'occupe de la visite du chateau est trés intéréssante à écouter elle nous transporte dans l'histoire et se met à la portée de tout le monde y compris des enfants!!!!! seul bémol boutique un peu trop cher pour ramener des souvenirs aux enfants
