Excellent stadium with poor food and drink facilities inside the stadium with regards to payment. You have to buy a pre paid card for a certain amount, that is no good to a foreign supporter !!! C'Mon Lille think on. Also think Lille fans are great, thank you for the welcome bar the Riot Police in Town !

Good venue - good parking - friendly staff. Food options could be better - only choices were baguettes.

Came to Lille to watch the everton game, good stadium good transport on the metro link from city to ground. Only thing missing was a goal.

If travelling by metro, it is better to get off at Cite Scientifique. This is the stop before last.It is a shorter walk through a shopping mall to the stadium.

If you build an out of town Stadium this is what to do!!!! It's a 15 min metro ride then a 10/15min walk from a choice of 4 Metro stations. The stadium itself is spacious has a retractable roof .yet fans are close to pitch. Wide walkways within the stadium reasonably priced food within the stadium, plenty of toilet facilities.Outside loads of food and drink outlets not just your British burger vans but global brands such as Subway etc..Plus local bars not spit and sawdust pubs where you feel intimidated to go in , even when you're a home fan!!Any British club thinking of building a new stadium should visit Lille!!

Visited here for the Lille -v- Everton Europa League game. Great transport links on Metro, and only a 10min walk to stadium. Fanzone outside was large and buzzing, although the loos were too well hidden!Fabulous stadium with perfect views from every angle, and great facilities. We need a ground like this ASAP - Bill Kenwright please note!!

We have been to this venue 3 times, it makes a real change to visit a sporting venue that someone designed to be accessed by car. Book a parking space online, drive straight in and out, no hassle.Great atmosphere inside, prices are reasonable

Great stadium. Food was good. I paid 25 euro for a seat in block H02 which is not expensive. The view was unobstructed.

The Grand Stade is the long-awaited replacement for the old Stadium Villeneuve d'Asqc... and it's a beauty! The stadium opened for the beginning of the 2012-13 season and is the home to Lille OSC, the city's French Ligue 1 (Premier League) football team who were French league and cup double winners as recently as 2011. The stadium, which has a retractable roof, can also be used for concerts and has already hosted Champion's League football and a French rugby union international in its short life. In 2016, it will be a host stadium when France welcomes the EURO 2016 European football championships. The stadium is easy to get to, but allow yourself enough time! One can simply take the metro (Line 1, the yellow one on the map) to the '4 Cantons' station, which is the end of the line. This means there's no chance of missing your stop, of course, but this part of the journey does take about 15 minutes (metro tickets are 1,40 each, I believe). Then, from the metro station, it's another 5-10 minutes or so by foot before you get to the stadium. The length of this walk may pose a slight problem to visitors with reduced mobility, but to be fair the path is new, flat and reasonably well lit. This stadium, which is accessed by a bridge which crosses the motorway if coming from the metro stop, is visually impressive (I've added some photos). There are a number of ticket offices/collection points around the stadium. There are also some new hotels and a couple of restaurants, as well as a bar-tabac which was lively post-match. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that the area directly around the stadium is a bit barren. Hopefully more shops/bars/restaurants/stalls will be added over time. The stadium boutique/shop opened in December 2012 and stocks all the LOSC gear you could wish for. It is located in the base of the stadium but can be accessed with or without a match ticket.Once inside the stadium, the word 'functional' springs to mind as everything is, obviously, modern and 'concrete-y'! This is to be expected, I suppose, but maybe some merchandise sellers and bookie stalls (if allowed by French law) would be good so as to add a bit more life to the concourses. One big positive is the number of food vendors. Even at full capacity, the stadium will surely never suffer from annoying queues for food and drink, as there seem to be dozens of places to buy fizzy drinks, beers, hot and cold sandwiches and snacks! These are arguably slightly over-priced, but not excessively so and the staff were friendly.Once seated, fans finally get a first-hand impression of the scale of the place. The view of the pitch was fantastic and there are no real restricted view seats (even though mine was located behind waist-high glass panels). On the day of my visit (vs Montpellier, 22nd December 2012) the roof was on, which made for a unique atmosphere that I had never experienced previously. The club may have trouble filling the place regularly, but this does not detract too much from the atmosphere and the experience. I can't wait for my next visit!

This is a perfect example of the new generation of modern European football stadiums. This stadium replaced the former Lille stadium and will be a top venue when France will welcome the 2016 European Championships. The stadium is located just outside Lille and can be entered by car and public transportation. If you arrive by car, there are several parking blocks located within a few minutes walking around the stadium. These parking lots can be booked online, but please be aware that you will not be the only spectator who will have opted for these parking places. So maybe you will chose the new metro stations which are approximately 10 minutes by foot. One must admit that the metro system provides a high service at a 2.2 euro fixed price (return ticket). The stadium itself is more like a steel-concrete construction, with wide angles and comfortable seats. The roof can be closed, which was extremely interesting when we visited the Lille – Montpellier game on December 22, 2012. Not only does it improve the game, it also blocks all the wind.Definitely the example of a modern multifunctional sports stadium!
